That's a fantastic goal. Absolutely fantastic, very little backlift, whipped right across Jaros into the top right. It's Liverpool 2-3 Utd right at the pip of half time in extra time.

****ing hell, Glatzel heads onto the post after a great header back across goal by Reece Williams. So close...

Great block by Savage on Mason Greenwood who piled through our defence at a rate of knots. He's full of beans and on his hat-trick. I think he has single-handedly dismantled us, although it was a very even game before the sending off.

          All over?

No, a few more minutes left. My tone is fairly resigned though I will admit.

              Is this the youth cup?

It's called the Premier League cup which is an equivalent.

Ah, well. Always the CL to look forward then.

I'm not sure you can call it the youth cup now as you can have 3 players well over the age of 23. In my day you were a man at 18 though, and expected to make your way in the world, so I'm not sure how the U23s are seen as youths either!

I don't know how it is in the UK, but individuals in Iceland are living with their parents until their 30's nowadays and generally don't contribute until around the same age.

Well, lots more people are living with their parents as property wealth destroys society but they are generally expected to contribute. When I left home there wasn't really a thought that I'd find it difficult to find somewhere affordable to live or be able to get a job even if it was bit of a crappy one. Zero hours contracts didn't really exist and there were still some unions out there. It was still **** mind.

A horrible clash of heads here has left one of the Utd players in a bit of bother. They're stretchering him off now.

Well they are expected to contribute, but I guess I'm just annoyed that some young kids with no clue are making small fortunes through posting their lives on social media and showing off some products or catch frases.

For game of thrones fans, seeing Jake Cain next to Remi Savage has the air of King Joffrey waiting for a bus with the Hound. You wouldn't have thought they be in the same youth team.
