Are there any genuine talents that look like they really have all the mental qualities as well as abilities coming through? I know it’s hard to tell but any standouts at these levels. It seems from the little I see that Curtis Jones looks good but he doesn’t seem to have played much this year. Is that injuries?

Glatzel, Tagseth and Lewis I'd say from this crop look the most likely. There's a pack after that including Duncan, Larouci, Louis Longstaff, Matty Virtue, Remi Savage. Hooever of course.
It's so hard to tell though. As I've said before, they change so much between now and 18-20 where they have started to grow into men. It's all very well bossing other kids around the park but there's a moment when they step up and meet their first premiership defender and pow! Some have it and some don't, especially upstairs. The poor little *******s are expecting to be carving out an exceptional career against all the other uber-performers when they're still beating themselves off tearfully to the first girl who broke their heart (Lucy Clarke) every night.
How many false hopes have there been.
I remember Ritchie Partridge the great winger who would change our attack. The next Gerrard, John Walsh was it and Conor Coady.
The strikers like Neil Mellor, Nemeth and Linfield.
It’s a funny system because overall at top clubs anyway it’s such a risk to give young players chances as the margin for missing out on a top 4 spot is massive but then if you don’t you’re wasting young talent. Klopp seems to have a good idea about how to do it.
Didn’t we also cut down to about half the numbers in each age group so they could focus more on the best of the best type of thing?
lot about luck, Without Injuries to the first team most wouldnt even get an opportunity. Look how much TAA has played due to Clyne's injury, Without that he would still probably be playing cup games and cameos.
We have to win tonight after our 7-0 gubbing by Villareal, and for other results to go our way to go through. It's a bit tight though as Villareal were essentially playing their B team rather than the kids so it's like playing a proper team.
Abdi Sharif moves up to the U23s tonight after playing on Monday.
This is a tight game but there have been chances at both ends already, snuffed out by good defending. This will be hard work and a good lesson for the lads.
Followers may have noticed some missing action recently due to dinner and personal grooming distractions. I warn you that I am cooking spaghetti amatriciana at the same time as watching so be prepared for some delicious blind spots.
A great chance for Cardiff who are driving forward at every opportunity. These guys are powerful and direct but a break for Liverpool! Markovic takes a good position and makes the correct pass into McAuley running right through the centre but the keeper saves the low shot. Should have done better but good work from my bete noire, Markovic.
And Liverpool score! McAuley scraps for the ball in the centre of the park and pokes it out right into Markovic's path who pokes it home with his right foot into the right hand bottom corner of the net. A cool finish from a man who has clearly been taking my recent advice on his attitude in a positive way.
