Much as I'd like to see VVD and Gomez continue their partnership, I think Klopp sees Dejan as his first choice CB alongside VVD, and Gomez will offer cover for TAA and Lovren, with Matip providing cover for VVD. Not sure what Clyne will have to do to get a game?

Clyne has done alright as a fill in LB has he not & could be cover for Robertson

Occasionally, he may drop TAA or Gomez, but he has form with Dortmund, where he used Hummels and Subotic in their late teens, as he felt they were more receptive to his ideas, and play how he wanted his centre-halves to play. Has to be TAA, Gomez, VVD and Robertson as our first choice back four. Let them grow together and learn as a unit.

Yeah, Lovren will get game time to stop him having a hissy fit but Gomez is the man and will be the focus of our defence for the next decade
