Overall he played well I think. He didn't look particularly well placed for Dzeko's goal, were drifting a bit leaving a lot of room between him and Skrtel IIRC. Still a fantastic pass by Aguero but he left a lot of space for Dzeko to stand in unmarked because he didn't move over properly.
Other than that solid as the rest back there.

I noticed that, he was running back to his position once, I think it was for their goal. When he leaves there is just a gap behind him, he should trust the midfielders to deal with their jobs. Is there a Vine of their goal anywhere?Originally posted by Darkon View PostOverall he played well I think. He is a bit strange positionally, he's so easily dragged further forward.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Liverpool central defender Dejan Lovren was not involve don Sunday but is also injured and will miss Croatia’s match against Norway on Saturday.
The Croatian FA reported Lovren has had a recurrence of an abdominal wall injury and will have to miss the European Championship qualifier in Zagreb.
The same problem prevented Lovren joining Croatia for a Bulgaria qualifier in Sofia last year.

A real headbanger display that from Dejan.
Its a shame about the swinging tackle, heading directly to a Newcastle player on his own and trying to break Can's ankle, as other than that he had a relatively decent game against **** opposition for about an hour.
Made a decent tackle or two and intercepted well, but for a period of the game that Lovren-Can partnership was something that should come with a health warning."I will make the boys feel your support"
