ye he deserves praise for yday and also a little mention for his position when mignolet made the save from aguero in the 2nd half, lovren was right behind him on the line in the right spot to clear the ball.
    who's arsed?

He is doing the simple things well. THere were a couple of times yesterday when he (and others) simply booted the ball out to allow us to re-group. This wasnt happening under Rodgers where even the simple things were being over complicated at times.

i think much of the uncertainty in our defence was down to the coaching [joke] and asking players to be something they are not comfortable with.

never seen him win so many headers, he was flying from the half way line to win it. A very aggressive and top performance from him

I thought the ghost header he had lined up in anticipation of Mignolet mucking up from the Aguero shot was genius. He had it covered, we were fine.

He is looking better than Brendan's Dejan 1.0

You could tell from the off though. He had this look in his eye during the line up that screamed 'today I'm doing some ****ing epic headers'. Then he came, conquered and destroyed all that got in the way of an epic 50 yard clearing bullet off his mighty noggin.

And after that he kicked the ball off his own hand
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Was impressed by him. We need him to keep this up.

Fair play to Dejan, that was probably his best overall performance in a red shirt. Keep it simple, win the ball when it is there to be won and don't do anything rash.

As above he did well to be fair and someone has mentioned he did the basics well which for a defender is to clear the ****ing ball and not dick about. I'd still prefer it if he was nowhere near the first 11 though.

If he did well against City then he deserves to be in and around the starting XI. Sakho all day for me though

If Moreno can revive his Anfield career under Klopp, no reason why Dejan cant. He was excellent.

A fine understudy for Sakho, a lot less pussy footing from him, putting the ball straight out of harms way when needed.

We seem to be getting strength in depth.

Just think Sturridge & Benteke on the bench in a game where our forwards running amok on the pitch

                          City away !!! Wonderful !!!

I can't stand the sky commentators always crowing about City, Chelsea & Manure.

At half time 3-1 up away from home and bossing it apart from a great goal from Aquero Tyler said can Liverpool hold on!!!

                          Tit.

Recent history justifies his statement. We've been terrible at holding onto a lead and City seem to score for fun so why not?

You are right that he's a tit though.

I've slated him big time in the past, so only fair to say when he plays well.

Good today - I don't think he put a foot wrong. He is being slowly but surely reprogrammed having looked utterly adrift and basically calamitous under Brendan. Well played Dejan.

I think the best thing you can say about him now is that he looks like a central defender. He played well again today, nothing daft just kept it simple and did his job efficiently which is good to see and let's hope it continues.
