Tough decision this.
Pros:
He's got good experience and is a great character. For a 3rd/4th option he's a very, very good option to have.
Cons:
His injury record is shocking and if you want a 4th choice you want him to be available or there's no point in having him at all. He could also be holding someone like Gomez, or even Ki Jana Hoever from coming through.
I think I'd probably keep him for his experience alone, and I think that's the decision Klopp will likely make.

Lovren is too unreliable, both in form and availability (missed over half our PL games and about a third of CL games last season).
And he's on 1st team regular wages. It makes no sense to keep him. If we get an offer of £20m+ we should snap it up.
Someone of at least his quality and much better injury record and for less money, should be easy for our scouts..

He gets grief because people recall how bad he was.
I think he is an invaluable member of the squad and if we get defensive injuries it seems unlikely we will be able to bring in a better defender that knows our systems and has performed to such a high level.
Have you got amnesia?!
He was abysmal against City in January and not much better away to Newcastle.
Thankfully he didn't play much in between.
Plus his horror shows against Spurs and Man Utd the season before.
And those aren't the only ones in the last 2 years

Not sure if the article mentioning fees is true or not, but it sounds like we don't want to sell but every player has a price and that is what we value him at.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Ah, I see your logic.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostMaybe we're in for De Ligt after all

So Lovren and Lallana leave, De Light and Fekir in?
