Thanjk you.

I thought, mistake for their goal aside, he was a pretty strong performer today. He puts in a really good shift and his pace is a weapon down that side. Certainly he can get better, especially in defensive concentration and also his delivery, but he has time and his enthusiasm for the game is pretty infectious. I like him.
Ditto. I have every faith that Klopp & Co can improve his game in bucket loads.
I also think that, whilst he might not create many goalscoring opportunities, having him running at defences is brilliant for us. He allows space for other players, and so whilst he can improve his defensive lapses (hopefully) I think that having 2x players in midfield that can cover is worth those lapses
I like him. He seems slightly tapped

There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
There 's little point in us continuing. He's massively at fault for making no attempt as a defender to defend the ball. You can't stand around and do nothing when you're a defender in the middle of the box as a ball is being crossed, deflection or not and the majority of comment on it I've seen agrees.
The thing is no one is saying he isn't at fault. Just that it is the sort of thing that happens pretty often. Reacting well to late runs like that and not waiting for the ball is exceptional defending. Players always go for those balls when they are aware of competition but not otherwise. Obviously there is a simple solution, I just don't believe it is one that most defenders would enact in practice.

It was a difficult ball to defend and I think he was blinded by the fact Ramires came from behind him. I wouldn't blame him and wouldn't replace him. It's not that we have available left backs in the squad anyway with Enrique left out completely.
He saw the run, he wasn't blinded by anything. He looked at ramires twice as he made his run, he just didn't react. It's poor "defending" and he has a habit of costing goals but he's still young and unlike others in our defence who have been making goal costing mistakes all their lives, he has ample time to improve.
Wish he had scored right at the end there after that blistering run. The team would've gone ape**** had that gone in!
