Thanjk you.

He's not good enough and doesn't show the discipline or intelligence to play at the level needed at Liverpool. He's a liability at the back and no doubt the defence as a whole suffers if other players are trying to cover for him when he's out of position.

They guy is a liability full stop, kung fu tackles, switching off, trying to play football in stupid places (not the only one admittedly). Regardless of all that though, to have only Milner as cover is crazy.
We've two CBs that could cement a place in the team in Matip and Sahko, so I think Klavan could do a job at LB as well so its not a crisis as such IMO.
He had a bit of a mare first half but he did pretty well in the second half tbh. I'd like an upgrade on him to come in but I'm not sure there's much out there significantly better unless we drop crazy money on one.
****ing hell. Said after the pen he should never play for us again, although that was fuelled by drink and emotion. ****ing hell though, he's a liability.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
Playing well second half is **** all use when you've given away a penalty and gone wandering for another goal, hes like Mignolet, guaranteed to cost you a goal a few times a season. He was very lucky with the two footed lunge too before the penalty when he was caught snoozing and Ramsey got in. Just get someone who can defend. Understand that attacking is part of a full backs brief but he offers **** all when he does get forward so that makes it even more frustrating!

Am I wrong or do I detect a feeling that you are unsure of his ability playing as our left back.
I still think if he calmed down he'd be a very good player. Obviously needs some guidance on the field though. Hopefully one of our CBs will develop that relationship over time. I think we may bring in a LB but it will be competition not replacement.

And yet he was part of the winning side
It's a funny old game
No I'm totally sure. He's completely unfit for purpose for a team that has any aspirations of winning things as he has proven to cost that team time and again.
It's great that we can win games with a disadvantage like that, how much better could we be without that disadvantage.

He lacks basic game intelligence, something which has got worse since his move from Sevilla. Although I thought he was better in this area when he was with them, others who watched him there have commented on his decisions too.
As Graeme Souness said, he doesn't sense danger early enough. He has pace to recover at times (one incident today, where he heads it straight to an Arsenal player, and he uses his pace to tackle him), but if you're to have attacking full-backs, they better have a brain to assess the situation around them.
