Why the feck did we pay 20m for him then. I'm not saying you're wrong, I have no prior knowledge of him; it's just worrying if you have this thought about him already.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI've seen him before today and he has little end product.
And Balotelli is not a top class striker, I'm not going to change my opinion just because he's signed for us.

Well, I'm drinking in order to forget as Mr Kirkby might say. Don't think Villa were good enough to win but I don't think we were good enough to draw either. A lot of teams are going to play like that against us this year so we'd better sort that out. Thinking about the last window, i'm a bit confused as to how we handled the striker situation. i think we should have been looking to bring in a proven player for upwards of 30mill, and not been looking at players like Remy for 8mill, and then settling for a cut price Balotelli, just not sure it's how we should have gone about it is all, and it might make or break the season.
Anyway, it's just one game, time will tell if we can make top 4 and have a run in europe, but the title will go to Chavski anyway imo.

Balotelli looked really isolated in the game. Lallana was off the pace, although showed glimpses at time. Markovic wasn't great. I'd put these three down to fitness, nerves, and settling in.
A eye-bleaching game to watch. Everyone seemed to play as though they'd been on a McDonalds binge a few hours before. Mistimed passes, lack of control and movement.
Henderson was the only one who was decent.
Bad day at the office. Next.

Is it though?Originally posted by Gibbo View PostScored and put 11 men behind the ball. It's classic lower table against higher play.
We couldn't break them down, we move on and that's that. Tuesday will be interesting as to what formation and players we play.
Chelsea did the exact same thing against us last year and they're not lower table.
We need to learn to adapt, sometimes that means being a bit more defensive on our part to invite the opposition out.
It's no good being attack attack attack every single game, it doesn't work like that we need to be better than that otherwise we're going to fail when challenges like this arise.
Not good enough from us but we will improve I absolutely believe that. I do still think we will struggle to get the necessary goals to fire us towards our target which again will be the CL.
Suarez offered us so much, he's going to be missed massively - we're already starting to see that but we need to adapt as a team.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Great you've seen a twenty year old play twice and think you can write him offOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostI've seen him before today and he has little end product.

You must find it deeply frustrating that a team of experts with vastly more experience and knowledge of the game than you, who presumably have seen the lad play more than twice think that spending £20m of our money on him is appropriate.Really?

**** knows what they are doing eh? Sack the lot of them and get this lad Kenneth in. He only needs to see a player for 90 mins before he knows he's ****e. And as for Italy's no.9 ... obviously ****e
Have a word with yourself mate, we're all frustrated, but you are truly beyond.
It's my opinion, I'm not expecting you to share it, or to care what it is. I think he'll be a flop in this league, no biggie. Maybe he won't and I'll be proven to be badly wrong, it wouldn't be the first time, but hey, who gives a ****?

My first impressions of markovic is he will flop. That's my gut feeling. Hope I'm wrong and it is very early days to right him off. I think he will be better in the champions league. He seems to have confidence which is in his favour. I also think Lovren is ****. He thinks he is good but I see none of the commanding presence we crave. Mario will be fine. Tuesday is an annoyance, bring on the next league game.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
