Fair play to them, they won with ease. Still gifted them stupid goals though. Pretty confident we'll get through, do badly need Sturridge back, he gives us that ability to win even when we arent playing well and we looked a completely different team with him earlier in the season.

End of the day they're a far better side at this stage of the season. They're European Champions and strengthened. We lost Luis Suarez and to make it worse, Danny Sturridge as well.

If we had Suarez & Sturridge that's a completely different game. But we didn't and we have to find a way of playing without them both.

Don't think we did too bad but they just have top quality players & the difference in skill, pace, technique & movement was different level! We conceded soft goals but we need to play quicker up front. I knew it would be hard to get anything outta this game but what is important is that we must beat hull in our next league fixture.

We had a glaring chance in that second half. He had a chance to shoot and instead passes when he's on the six yard line. I couldn't believe it. Oh, and he got shrugged off easily by Isco and for me, he didn't bust a gut, whilst Can did when he came on.

i think the defense could be the downfall of Rodgers..... if he goes back again to fsg and says "please can i have another 50m to buy two centre backs" they could tell him to do one - not sure they will want to throw good money after bad..... i am hoping that either Can can step up or else we need to buy a top notch centre back.....

i was in the camp that was hoping that Balotelli and Sturridge could form a partnership. Hoping that when oposition defenses had Sturridge to worry about, that balotelli would get more space, more chances and find form. You cant get away from the fact that he is a ****in ****** though. Dick head.

Probably best not to judge him on a 10 minute cameo in a game lost by others ineptitude.

Difference was they controlled the game and we couldn't get at them and so rushed things.
