We're getting there boys. This is just what I was hoping for (and the Ludo result). We got EVERYTHING we wanted.

The Madrid result is masking our progress, mancs think we're finished. Just can't see the forest for the trees. Or won't. Fine by us. All hail the second coming of LvG.

**** me Ballotelli is ****e. He could get Rodgers the sack he's that ****.

Johnson can leave now and Mignolet needs binning off as well.
How did we look, surely it wasn't a mauling by Madrid? I thought we played quite well on TV even though they went back down to 3rd or 2nd gear.

Certainly more positives than negatives that I could find if we forget about our back 5 for a second.

First 20 minutes we looked good. We pressed the ball, passed it about and looked confident. As soon as they scored our heads dropped. Ballotelli did nothing all game and as soon as we lost possession up the pitch he just walked or jogged back. Lad doesn't look at all arsed.

Allen looked solid and was getting stuck in as well. Lellana did more in the first 5 minutes of the second half than Mario did in the whole first 45 minutes.

Johnson was a waste of space. Kept getting caught and let his man past him time and time again.

Skrtle ran his bollocks off tonight.

I didn't expect us to beat Madrid but i expected better from the team. If certain players cant be arsed against Real Madrid then they can leave now.

This defeat can't be used to judge where we're at, but where we're at is clear. Every single game this season has been poor, bar Spurs away. No signs of improvement at the back, in midfield or up front. Our whole passing game has disintegrated, we can't press for more than 15 minutes in any given game, our attacking set pieces having been freakishly good last season are now back to being total dross, we must be the worst team in Europe at defending set pieces, the team spirit that was so evident last season looks to have disappeared (too much upheaval to what was a close-knit squad?), our goalkeeper is ****ing rubbish, Johnson is finished, Lovren's ****, Skrtel's ****, Balotelli is ****.

Apart from that it's going pretty well.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Good thing El Classico is this weekend so Real took it easy the second half. They're also pretty much through with 12 points and will probably play their reserve team at the Bernabéu ... except their reserve squad is also ****ing amazing .

The biggest respect I can give Real is just how easy and simple they made the game look. Proper football.

Yes but when your opponent's are standing off and not getting their foot in, its always going to be easy.

Ronaldo, Hames, Benz, Luka, Kroos, Isco, how do you compete with that ?

All of their players would walk into our team while none of ours would get into theirs. They were good to watch.
