    Same for me.

    Even on Weds there just seems to be something seriously wrong and we do look like a team in terminal decline, that is the most worrying aspect for me.

    I think Sturridge can be this teams saviour, but if we carry on the way we are playing between now and Sturridge's come back, BR may not even be around to see that.

      no!Sturridge can help but not as much as Suarez,Suarez actually improved other players games and made them match winners,Sterling,Henderson etc...now those two look ****ter than ****

        Sturridge is too injury prone to be relied upon as a team's main man. Will have missed almost half a season with muscle injuries. Was stupid to even believe he could be the main man having seen his injury record since he has been here.

        Everyone at the club seems to be waiting for him in belief he will change their fortunes. More likely to get injured again as opposed to come in and start banging in the goals

            Think we needed to become a lot tighter in defence when Suarez left. Weren't ever going to find a striker who scored and assisted as much as him, so should have placed more emphasis on tightening up at the back.

              Someone like Khedira would have done wonders IMO, or Song even. It was stupid not to take Song.

                Sarb the other day you were complaining that we should have replaced Suarez with another World Class player.

                Cant have it every way can we? Instead of one thing, we tried to do all of them.

                  TBF I go backwards and forwards alot these days, out of frustration and confusion and problably mild AD/HD. He could be having problems as well.

                  A good DM and a striker with pace was what we needed in the summer.

                    Sorry did I day we shouldnt have signed a world class player? I said we wouldnt have found a player like Suarez. Weren't going to sign a Messi or Ronaldo were we? Yeah we should have signed someone World Class, but only 2 better than him.

                    So to make up for less goals and assists Id have put some emphasis on tightening up the defence too, to compensate for the loss of goals and assists. Not really a hard concept to follow is it Alex?

                        I think we tried. £20m on a left sided CB just 12 months after blowing £18m on a left sided CB, £12m on a left back and got a new right back too. We just ballsed it up, despite (IMO) two of those - Manquillo and Moreno obviously - being very good prospects.

                          Shaggy, he could have signed Neur and Hummels and we'd still be awful at defending. He doesnt place much emphasis on it at all. He should

                            I think he has tried to place more emphasis on defending. Problem is he isn't/we aren't very good at it.
