The saddest thing about all this is that we didn't lose because of individual performances and there's no scapegoat. Pains me to say it, but Rodgers has lost the plot completely
I believe we had the players on the bench to take that game to Basel but our manager completely bottled it. It's so different from the man last season. I thought we'd found a middle ground in the last 3 games before this but we went back into disarray first half vs Basel.
Allen has been singled out, and he was poor but I also though Lucas was poor, Gerrard was poor and Henderson too. Their roles are either not defined enough or too congested and confusing. Only player to take credit over 90 minutes was Sterling.

Our midfield was overrun and Lucas was exposed but I don't think he was poor. Any DM still needs defensive assistance from the other midfielders.
Henderson's had a dip in form lately and Allen was getting outmuscled.
Say what you will about Chris, at least he doesn't revel in the team playing **** and hurling keyboard abuse at our players. Massive case of pots calling the kettle black on here. At least it makes it easy to avoid coming on here when we're losing, when all the boo boys come out of the woodwork.
Can you please point out who is revelling in the defeat and how?
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
I bet he's been told he has to sell to buy and so he's doing his best to push borini out. It can be the only explanation for not having a striker on the bench.
Even when hes on the bench we still dont have a striker on the bench

In a system like we played last year Allen is a key role I feel, however we're not adopting that philosophy at the moment. We just seem to be crossed galore.
He really isnt
He only started 17 games last season

Individually I don't think anyone stood out as being poor. Collectively we were shocking. But it's what they're doing off the ball that worries me every week. Rodgers waxes lyrical about wanting fast, sharp & incisive passing, but if your team has no movement then that'll never happen.
Mignolet gets possession, the CB's split and then that's about as much movement as we get. And when I say the CB's split, that's only after Migs has had to shout and point at them. The rest of the time, it's the opposition moving whilst the rest just stand still. I'll give a bit of credit to Joe Allen here, he's the only one if you watch back who ever moves about and asks for the ball. Not that he ever did anything with it mind.
But if you have no movement, what can we expect players to do. Only in the last ten, after Gerrard scored did we offer any movement and belief we could nick it. Suddenly, we looked like a team transformed. We cut them to pieces with ten men and despite being visibly shattered. Coutinho looked like a player again - because he had someone to pass to for once.
I think Borini is rubbish tbh. Nowhere near good enough & needs to be sold. And if we start playing him again he may want to stick around even longer. But needs must. He's the only one who offers movement, which crucially is exactly what we lack. Scores in big games too....... Bit late for last night, but our next three are massive to the club.
Sarb is the most obvious example of posters who are way more active when the team is playing badly.
Everyone loves a moan, go to a pub post match in Liverpool and you will find a whole host of people discussing our woes over a beer - win, lose or draw
I think when you lose frustration comes out, its not agenda driven just pure and simple frustration
The only manager I have actively disliked was Roy, Rodgers I am kind of indifferent towards. He sometimes makes me cringe but last season he provided me with real enjoyment
Unfortunately this season he hasnt and once again frustration takes over
I am not sure I want Rodgers sacked but his tenure ending almost has an air of inevitability to it now

Gave up on Brendan after that. Slept on it and I still feel the same. If there's someone better out there, someone who might be attainable, we should be in touch with him and his agent.
We will lose on Sunday and I don't know how he'll come back from it. We went there in March - just 6 months ago in football terms - and humiliated them, bossing them in every single department. Less than half a season later we go there with our tail between our legs, everything has collapsed and we are expected to get hammered. How has it come to this, and so soon? Total despair.
No point in sacking Brendan blindly and getting some stop gap, but you could see from his reactions last night, he knows he's as good as done.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
