It's different I'll give him that and if right at least he's trying something different

doesn't have to be an ideal world scenario, but is the problem the gk and/or defence or the fact BR has poor coaching methods or both...in the time Rodgers has been Manager we have always had gk/defence issues....i wonder what BR's goals against record is like at Swansea and his other clubsOriginally posted by rcasemore View PostIn an ideal world but that still relays on trust between the two seems to me there is little to none there at the moment.

The only saving grace is 3rd/4th is still achievable, but for me the biggest problem is we as a team don't play the offensive game any more and i'm not sure what game we play neither do the playersOriginally posted by rcasemore View PostA mixture of the three I think which makes it even harder to sort out.
One thing we have seen over the past two season under Brendan is we've improved the 2nd half of the season lets hope today is the catalyst for this season (not convinced it will be!)

Manc fans seems so confident, it's quite annoying how cocky they are over this one.
Playing without Lucas is a mistake as is playing Lovren. Jones is ****e but so is Mig so nothing major there. Not too bothered if we play with no strikers as the one up front he has persisted with wasn't working anyways and isolated whomever was playing up there. Gerrard has been **** this season but he usually is up for the United games.
If that team is true we definitely are going for more movement & pace, which has been sorely lacking. But looks defensively fragile for sure. Really could go either way with that line up.

Hope we win today. I really doFallout from a massive training ground bust up after the CL exit. Punches thrown, accusations levelled, a certain goalkeeper going home crying etc etc.*Originally posted by rcasemore View PostDropping Mig is a strange one only reason I could possibly understand is Jones is better at marshalling the back 4 but a massive risk imo to make this change especially ad Mig has looked decent enough the past few games.
*probably not, but it'd make a good tabloid story."I will make the boys feel your support"

I think Mignolet is a good shot stopper. For the most part he has shown that here. As said above his lack of confidence isnt helped by the defence in front of him. He was signed on the basis of how many shots he saves, not whether he is good with his feet.
Too many times not just under FSG we have signed players boping them to play differently when they come here. Flawed strategy. That said he probably edges Jones and has had a couple decent games. So to drop him now is counter productive. Just the timing of some decisions leave things open to debate.
After all that Mignolet wil probably start

At least Jones knows how to kick a ball. Half of Mignolets kicks get us into trouble. Also I've never understood why keepers spit in their gloves. I figure after a while it must get soggy with spit. Do players think about this when they shake the gloved hand or when it leaves a snails trail down their shoulder after a pat on the back?

He's had all this time to drop Mignolet, to do it for this game of all games seems ****ing nuts. Though to be fair to him Jones hasn't let us down in his last few appearances for us.
This is not a good fixture to have to deal with with an almighty hangover.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Dates back to...er...Olden times, when men where men, and they spat on their hands when working outside in the cold to try and stop the skin cracking, no Oil Of Ula in those days.Originally posted by vlahka View PostAt least Jones knows how to kick a ball.
