Whats frustrating is that Wisdom would probably have been a better shout at RB or CB this season and the £20m that was lashed out on Lovren could have been used to fund a world class centre forward, or gone towards the wages. Its unforgiveable that we have been left with NOBODY up front when the inevitable happens to Sturridge.

First of all he shouldn't get a penny more to spend, also after spending £110million when he should have bought a couple of as you say really good players he went and bought as you have stated solid players for £10-20million already, and how did that work out,Also now we are out of the champs league good luck attracting these top playersOriginally posted by ChrisDR1968 View PostAgree with that list except possibly Coutinho. He's proving himself too inconsistent so I'd be tempted to sell him. He doesn't do defending at all either which is a problem in a team which is weak in that department.
For those 13 players though I think we'd only get about £60 million for them in total considering the peanuts we got for the players we sold in the summer (except for Suarez).
That's providing we can find clubs willing to give us money for them in the first place
So long as Rodgers is manager though Joe Allen is staying
With that £60 million we could get 2 really good players for £30 million each or 3 or 4 solid players for £10-£20 million each.

Lovren was a disaster. In hindsight I'm sure no one would've signed him.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostWhats frustrating is that Wisdom would probably have been a better shout at RB or CB this season and the £20m that was lashed out on Lovren could have been used to fund a world class centre forward, or gone towards the wages. So going by Baitman's list this would be the Liverpool squad moving forward:
Keep
Goalkeepers: none
Defenders: Toure, Moreno, Manquillo, Skrtel, Flanagan, Wisdom, Ilori
Midfielders: Coutinho, Henderson, Lallana, Lucas, Can, Sterling, Markovic, Ibe
Forwards: Lambert, Sturridge, Yesil, Origi
Doesn't actually look that bad a squad (apart from the lack of goalkeepers
).
15 first teamers plus 4 youngsters. We'd need to sign around 6 first teamers to have a balanced squad (2 goalkeepers, centre back, midfield general or defensive midfielder and another forward)
Sell / Leave
Goalkeepers: Mignolet, Jones
Defenders: Johnson, Enrique, Lovren, Coates, Sakho, Alberto
Midfielders: Gerrard, Allen, Suso
Forwards: Borini, Balotelli, Aspas
A lot of churn required considering all the money spent over the past few years

nicely tidied up Chris
the car boot sale would hopefully raise funds for a decent keeper and a decent young keeper as back up.
we could also look for a CB, DM/beefy midfielder and a striker.
three potential first team players and that would be a decent squad.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Liverpool FC news: Twelve defenders may face Anfield exit in overhaul
Brendan Rodgers' search for a reliable back four could spell bad news for 10 outfield players and his two senior goalkeepers
Liverpool's defensive uncertainty extends off the pitch as well as on it as 10 of Brendan Rodgers' back line and both his senior keepers are unsure of their Anfield future.
Three established members of Rodgers' back four – Kolo Touré, Glen Johnson and Jon Flanagan – will be free agents this summer, enabling them to leave on a Bosman transfer unless the club offers new deals. The same applies to Brad Jones, who is currently the preferred choice in goal ahead of Simon Mignolet.
The Belgian goalkeeper must fear his spell on Merseyside will be brief having lost his place and with his club actively searching for another first-choice number one.
Martin Skrtel has been a regular starter under Rodgers but he has only 18 months left on his current deal and there has been no approach to extend his terms yet.
Mamadou Sakho and Jose Enrique are also far from certain to avoid the next squad cull. They only tend to feature in the event of injury and suspension and would both be sold if the right offer was forthcoming next summer.
Defenders Sebastian Coates, Andre Wisdom and Tiago Ilori are currently on loan elsewhere, waiting to see if they have any long-term future at Anfield, while Javier Manquillo moved to Anfield on a two-year loan from Atletico Madrid.
With Liverpool continuing to be undermined by their defenders, it is highly likely there will be another turnaround of personnel as Rodgers seeks a more reliable back four.
Liverpool defenders/keepers with uncertain future:
Out of contract, summer 2015: Kolo Touré, Glen Johnson, Jon Flanagan, Brad Jones (g)
Out of contract, summer 2016: Martin Skrtel
Failing to impress: Simon Mignolet (g), Mamadou Sakho, Jose Enrique
Out on loan: Sebastian Coates (Sunderland), Andre Wisdom (West Brom), Tiago Ilori (Bordeaux)
On loan at Anfield: Javier Manquillo
