If an offer of £10m came in for Joe Allen, I'd sell. Anything less than that, he might as well stay.

      Aspas - £4m - 3

Jones - A packet of Quavers - free, sorry

      Maybe Balotelli - £12m? - We'll keep him

Roughly £38m there. We should lash the lot on a striker, and whatever the transfer pot is for the summer goes on one or two more.
Sorry but I only count 6 million

I think we'll be lucky to get anything for Enrique, Jones & Coates, each of whom will only have a year left on their contracts, and obviously nothing for Johnson & Gerrard. Kolo Toure is also out of contract in the summer, as is Flanno but you'd think he'd get a new deal.

        For me the obvious departures could total a realistic ~£25m;
        Borini - £7m
        Aspas - £3m
        Lambert - £3m
        Balotelli - £12m
        Enrique - £0
        Coates - £0
        Jones - £0

        End of contract
        Gerrard
        Johnson
        Toure
        Flanno?

With perhaps another few mill if we decide to offload a couple of younger fringe players
        Wisdom - £4m
        Alberto - £3m

So unless we get a good offer for anyone else I really can't see sales bringing in more than a max of £30m (and Balotelli would make up a good third of that).

The majority of the likely ones to go are squaddies at best, most very unlikely to feature or be needed.
Moving them on wont have any real effect or compromise on the first team and should then allow us to add a couple of better quality players who can actually be a worthy part of the 1st team squad.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

            Totally, looking at my list above and assuming no surprise sales of the likes of Allen & Lovren;

Aspas, Lambert & Borini > Origi & another young striker, Ings?
Jones > New quality keeper to challenge Mignolet
            Balotelli > New quality forward
Gerrard > New quality centre mid
Johnson, Toure, Enrique & Coates > New defender, maybe 2? Right back?

That could be 10 out with only really 3 or perhaps 4 serious quality players needing to be found replace them, plus then perhaps a couple of younger players.

Flanno & Manquillo's development & situations I suppose will determine if we think we really need a quality right back (or cover on the left), and Ilori / Wisdom's whether we need more centre back depth.

Overall though that doesn't seem too daunting, we just need to identify and then land the right players in those few positions to really boost the first team squad.

I think he'll be a sound replacement for Kolo and would do well in a back 3, even without Can's ball playing skills.

I certainly would like to see him tried at CB, before cutting him loose.

Good shout with Wisdom in a back 3. I guess it depends on if we expect to revert to a back 4 for next season or not.

Even at that, I'd still keep for a year as back-up at least, especially if Kolo and Johnson are leaving.

At RB, I always said he was never good enough for a side like ours, but our record when he plays there isn't too bad so he could at least do a job in an emergency, more-so now as he's more experienced.

I'd even consider doing this over two summers. Just get in three players this summer and three the summer after. Make them quality players, I'd rather go the season with young players we've got already then buying players for the squad who'll be difficult to move on. Priority for me is top quality striker, defender and midfielder.

Just three players and solve the other problems the season after so we can build the team we need.

Joe Allen should be the first out the door. Lovren as well.

klopp will hopefully be able to sprinkle some fairy dust on some of the iffy players, it might take a few weeks of bitchslapping but maybe even lovren could be turned

                          two lists...

                          lost causes.
                          enrique
                          allen
                          etc

                          might respond after a slap.
                          lovren
                          etc

If Allen is a lost cause Lovren is too.

Which though? I'd think Allen would step to one side and say "after you Dejan" myself.

Everyone should be given until January and indeed I imagine everyone will but clearly Allen, Lovren, Kolo, Enrique are all closest to the exit as things stand.
