So a shot cleared off the line by an outfield player is not a shot on target? No wonder they talk of lies, damn lies and statistics!

Don't quote it as fact! Just my thought on the matter as to how 'they' count it.

It might not be accurate - not all outlets specify blocked shots

We played better in other games & lost.

Always the case, when other sides win when playing rubbish we call it great mentality & genius management. When it's our side we were lucky & average. I'll clarify it. We weren't lucky - Burnley are just poor going forwards & if you score first you're always likely to win.

Personally, I'm just delighted with the three points. And a clean sheet will really help.

Next up, Leicester at home. Another three points & it's happy days as far as I'm concerned.
          Forwards.......

Realised it's Swansea at home next. Wins in both required anyway.

We seem so shambolic at the moment, I don't recall us ever being so far away from expecting to achieve something. I honestly think Rodgers is finished here.

What I don't agree with is all the childish and disrespectful nasty little digs that permeate every single thread these days

This is a site for Liverpool FANS. That should mean supporting the club from top to bottom* and that is obviously not the case

                Maybe I'm getting old

You're not getting old. Just wiser.

                Couldn't agree more.

I have no idea. I have reached the conclusion that he is finished here. I don't think Hodgson statistically was as inept as Rodgers. It's not looking good for him.

Leaving aside whether or not it's possible to be statistically inept, I'm intrigued by what your comments might have been had we actually lost to Burnley.

A shot ending up in Row Z is counted as a goal attempt. It doesn't make it a near miss. Our goalkeepers had the easiest afternoon they'll have all season. We made hard work of an easy game. It doesn't mean Burnley ever looked like getting anything out of it..

The biggest single problem with Liverpool is that Rodgers is seemingly in awe of Gerrard, who now offers precisely nothing to the midfield. Only when Gerrard is no longer a regular starter will our performances reflect the ability in the wider squad. At least when Lovren's injured, Gerrard is the weakest link in the team

The fan base seems really divided, which has really surprised me. I'm getting abused on Twitter because I was supporting Rodgers after the game. A game we won. I want the owners to give Rodgers more time as the clubs had a lot of players integrating in the past few months. I like the way he will try new things to get the players to fit. But I seem to be in the minority, a lot want him gone. I really underestimated the amount of fans against him.

People will always be more vocal about being negative but I don't think you can gauge the support for Rodgers on twitter or here. There is again Is a clear divide on here of posters for Rodgers against the posters who want him gone. The negative camp Are more vocal as it's easy with hindsight to point out what went wrong.
The Arsenal game the crowd were singing his name again showing support for him. I'd say there is as much support for Rodgers as against though.
