But I seem to be in the minority, a lot want him gone. I really underestimated the amount of fans against him.
It's hard to remember at times, but twitter is full, literally chock full to the brim, of arseholes who love the sound of their own voice/notoriety of their own tweets. This applies to any subject you care to discuss on there - politics, religion, anything. Unfortunately a large percentage of them follow Liverpool and somehow find their way onto your timeline even when you don't follow them. A hundred thousand arseholes slagging Brendan off on twitter while watching a ****ty stream in their living room do not represent the mainstream view of our support.

Amongst the matchgoing supporters that I observe, it's nowhere near Hodgson levels in terms of the percentage wanting him gone, though it's true that a significant minority do. I think the most common thing I hear is that he deserves until the end of the season as a bare minimum after last year's exploits, and we should judge in the summer whether he's done enough to deserve another year after that.

The biggest single problem with Liverpool is that Rodgers is seemingly in awe of Gerrard, who now offers precisely nothing to the midfield. Only when Gerrard is no longer a regular starter will our performances reflect the ability in the wider squad. At least when Lovren's injured, Gerrard is the weakest link in the team
It's not the point though mate. The point is that numerous amounts of times Burnley got into good scoring positions around the box. The very fact that their attempts were sub standard besides the point, the point is that on another day against better opposition we wouldn't have been so lucky.

And I agree a big problem is Gerrard, he is a passenger & Rodgers either can't see that or is afraid to do something about it.

Not easy to drop your landlord, especially when he's a club legend but really he shouldn't be anywhere near the team right now. Problem is nobody else is more deserving of his place either.

true he's in a bit of a tight spot. I would say that Can hasn't done anything wrong though, every time he's come into the side he's done well. He's perfect to sit besides Lucas and burst forward.

Yeah Can has done well when he's played. Always looks knackered after about 20 minutes though. I'd like to see him get more minutes and seems like he will according to the boss this morning.

And we were ahead of Swansea too. 8th in the running order. Better than our league position!

At times like this you must pick the team on form. Gerrard and Henderson have not recovered fromtheir exertions and unfortunately timed mistakes last season; th e world cup just made it worse. Take them out of the team. The break itself will help them.

And we have to play with fullbacks; we are just too open otherwise.

My feeling is that us last season and United this have relied on the fact that most teams are a bit rubbish in terms of goalscorers. With the exception of Chelsea no team really convinces as a top team looking to limit the opposition as well as do there own thing. Our main problem is a lack of goal threats compared to others not a worse defence (our backline and midfield covering is not notably less able than the other top 4 hopefuls).

As for Gerrard, I think he's being over used. He gets more criticism than he deserves but he is playing too much at the minute and being rested for some games would help him and the team. That said having just found a functional team setup changing that before we get our first league win with it was obviously a risk too.
