Ricky has been a proven goal scorer throughout his career at every club including 2 years in the premier league hitting double figures. It's frustrating to see him not being used properly. He might not have the pace but give him the supply and he'd be a poucher in the box .
He's just another case of Rodgers signing a player and not giving him a chance to prove himself. I mean what was the point in bringing him on today in the 90th minute?
I was over the moon when we signed him as I've known Ricky since we were kids but in all honestly I hope he goes to a club in the summer that will allow him to play and show his true worth. He deserves better than he is being treated by Rodgers.
Rodgers would rather bring on a player in Borini who was deemed surplus to requirements last season and who has a scoring record that a goalkeeper would be ashamed of rather than play Ricky.Last edited by Leyton388; 19-04-15, 11:18 PM.

I think Sterling is capable of that too, the problem is that the role he plays needs a striker and we haven't had one all season. I think that the playing him out of position (through lack of an alternative) has hampered his game. Last season he looked like he could develop into someone who could be an energetic spark and make things happen. This season he's looked a long way off that. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I wonder whether Sterling could flourish alongside a Sturridge / Suarez partnership because it took emphasis away from himOriginally posted by Exiled_red View Post

Players had other players to worry about rather than being able to concentrate on him
As Carragher said big players do big things, generally they do it themselves (ie like Gerrard did for ****ing years)
Maybe Sterling will surprise me and turn into some genuine world class player but I must admit I uncertain it will happenLast edited by Lecter; 20-04-15, 01:56 PM.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I'd like us to build a team of men. Players that crunch into tackles and don't shirk responsibility.
Lets build a team with the strengths that would have excelled 20 years ago, obviously we would have to be prepared for suspensions galore. We would need a squad that was large enough to cope. But at least we would have an identity. A team that played fair but hard. No arguing with officials. Cut out the play acting. Lets build a team full of principals that we can be proud of. It may get us no higher in the league, but at least an example would be set, perhaps others would follow suit and the game got back some of its charm.
Currently football at the highest level is full of mercenaries serving up half hearted **** that the modern day fan seems willing to lap up.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Utd got Herrera and Blind, both bog standard footballers, but their game intelligence makes them look like superstars next to Carrick and Mata.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostMore players with the elusive footballing brain, please, very much thank you.
Out of the ones we already have IMO are: Can, Markovic, Coutinho and Sterling. Ones around that zone are Hendo and Ibe. We need more

If you don't have arms you can't wave, so if we don't have the tireless runners in the squad, play another way.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostRicky has been a proven goal scorer throughout his career at every club including 2 years in the premier league hitting double figures. Nobody, not even Rickie himself thought that he'd be a regular starter, and of course nobody other than those that see him week in week out (or know him personally) can know whether or not he's lost all footballing ability since signing for us; but I think it's ****ing disgusting the way his Liverpool career has gone so far
I don't (think I) want to see Rodgers replaced, and no player is bigger than the manager, but I think the way Lambert has been treated is bang out of order, and that is solely down to RodgersI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
