We paid £10m for Origi so there is your benchmark right there (just dont mention £32m for Benteke)

10m might have been a fair price for ings, if he was still under contract with burnley, but as he was technically out of contract we should have been able to sign him for free.
Some nominal fee might be agreed just to seal the deal to prevent a bidding war but burnley really are deluding themselves here.
but as its th FA we might get stung for 7m. shakes head...removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I don't see Origi being the benchmark, we signed him after the 2014 world cup where he'd helped Belgium get to the quarter finals. He is also the youngest player ever to score for the Belgian national team.Originally posted by Lecter View PostWe paid £10m for Origi so there is your benchmark right there (just dont mention £32m for Benteke)

And what were Burnley's development costs? They paid £1m and just played in him the first team. There is no reason for them to be compensated at all imo.Originally posted by ashey View PostWe should point out that he attended Bournemouth's Academy, and was 19 when Burnley signed him, so the vast majority of his development was paid for by Bournemouth and NOT Burnley!Last edited by Kenneth; 25-04-16, 01:46 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

But the said player has signed a contract with you as he is a free agent."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

I agree, I would love to see that 500 pages dossier on their development costs etc.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostAnd what were Burnley's development costs?
