Thanjk you.

Nunez probably offers about the same, if not marginally more than Pennant.
Plus he didn't cost 7m. Plus Nunez is a lawyer, not a criminal.
"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

I've seen him play for Arsenal, Leeds and Birmingham though, Dan.
He's been the same there. Average at best.
Arsenal yes maybe but he was young and was vying for a spot with some top top players. I thought at Leeds and Brum he did great. He tore us apart at Anfield for Leeds at times at Anfield from memory. Its clear there are issues and he hasnt played well but I think he's better than this.
"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"
someone made a good point on the upson thread, wenger got rid of him for a reason, and there's not many players wenger has got rid of and regretted it later on.

You have hardly justified your comments with that mate.
Cmon Kopan you must realise he will never cut it here?
What have you seen to suggest he will?
Its all well and good saying some players take a year to settle ala pires & henry, however they must show at least some form of quality to suggest that they will indeed settle.
Pennant has been woefully gash.
Anderson or hammil would probably offer more to the team despite their vast inexperience.
ok, I can see where you are coming from, I can truly...
BUT
He isnt featuring in the team on a weekly basis or at least hadnt been. I admit he is not playing well but who is right now?
JP has to be played now for the rest of the season out on the wing doing what he is supposed to be doing. But once Momo is back, JP will be dropped for Gerrard.
His season has been stop start stop start so he may have adjusted to the Prem but surely not the team.
After one season, we can judge. Before then is just impatient.
Good post Daniel-san
And I don't see any evidence that Wenger sold Pennant because because he was ****, it was clearly because of his behaviour. The guy made him the most expensive teenager in Britain or something didn't he?
Not that it's the point, but Wenger never sold Overmars and Petit because they were ****. Same with Anelka and Vieira. They may or may not have gone on to better things but that's irrelevant. Wenger would've kept all of those if he could've done. You could also argue that he would've been better off keeping Upson insteading of buying in ****e like Stepanovs, it was only when Toure came along that he fixed that one.

I've seen him perform well in games. He played well in the League Cup against Reading. I saw him play well for Leeds and Birmingham.
Pennant has been bad
So has Zenden, Finnan, Gerrard, Bellamy, Gonzo, Hyppia, Carragher, Alonso...need I go on?
Would be funny if both those kids came in and did **** all just to prove people wrong though.

This is depressing. I'm going to watch the 2004/2005 season review. It always cheers me up, especially if i skip the away games!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
Good point. I will just skip all away league games that came immediately after Champions League games. Milan Baros where have you gone!
