Not relevant and a bit of a heat deflection if you ask me.

I'd agree but seeing as he asked here goes.....Joaquin may not be playing well at the minute but Joaquin was a very good player once, whereas Pennant was never any good!

as Joaquin looks like Stevie and plays wide right.
is it a case of if the face fits.

or are they like twins and feel each other pain.

Everyone was **** vs Sheffield. He probably also had his mind on leaving.

I think he was a good prospect but like you believe he doesn't have the mental capabilities to make it at the top level. Maybe going back to Holland will sort him out though.

What I am trying to work out is why people are saying pennant isnt good enough after only being here a short time while still want joaquin when he has been worse then pennant at his new club and was crap all last season aswell.

It's partly the age old problem of it sounding better if it comes from abroad and partly that not seeing Joaquin every week means people only remember the highlights of his career. To be fair though I haven't seen many people calling for Joaquin to come in of late.

I think that the crap form of the team coupled to the pre-season optimism has led people to judge our new signings even more harshly than usual. Unfortunately as Pennant has the least excuse - he has performed in the PL before and cost a lot more than he would have a year earlier he is the one most people highlight.
