He looks like hes got a good chance. Far too early to say wether the 1st team step-up would be too big a leap for him to make. I think he could handle it myself, all i know at the moment, is that he COULDNT do a worse job than pennant

Disagree, Kromkamp was a decent player and he settled well, has been in good form this season, and in my opinion will become a better RB than Finnan by some way.

I'd have picked Kromkamp over Pennant, as at least Jan tried, and often made decent runs when playing wide right, and best of all he didn't go hiding, which is exactly what Pennant does.

Yeah I really rated Kromkamp actually. Very good with the ball at his feet.

He was dreadful against Sheff United though, and I didn't think he had the concentration levels to make a top drawer Right back.

some players have the right to play crap whereas others don't

Pennant should be judged when the team are playing well IMO.
sometimes you don't need a worldclass player to be the missing piece.Mcdonald comes to mind
Pennant aint going to turn games around on his own, but in the right system he can be effective.
West Ham match thought he was outstanding.
