After the start.to the season we had a top 4 finish would be remarkable.

If we're within 3/4 points of the top by the end of the year the go for it. Why not???

I'm just happy we have a chance of getting top four, it didn't seem like that under Rodgers and I was thinking we'd be writing the season off under him.

But as it is I think we have chance of top four and I think we have a chance in all the other competitions so that'll do for me now.

Top 3 will be a struggle. But top 4 is a massive possibility now. Man Utd seem to have been riding their luck for the first 1/3 So I am hoping that its going to be all over for them soon. Spurs will Spurs it up at some point I think.

A team always goes on a run of games, happens every season. Claims every year around now that it's the closest race for years etc. sooner or later there'll be two teams left who can compete.

We have looked great at times under Klopp and then average at other times. Tbh, we should be just grateful that even at this early stage Klopp has showed what we can be capable of under him. But we are only 6 points back down to others being average as opposed to us ripping it up in the league.

Unfortunately I haven't seen enough to suggest we can put together a run of 24 from 30 points for example. That's not to say it's completely out of the question. We can but hope that as the season rolls on we get better under Klopp as opposed to staying at the level we are at.

But even with Klopp getting a full pre season top 4 would have been a massive achievement. Especially with all the injuries we have had.

No one looks capable of going 24 from 30 though. It's wide open.

I have no idea what's going to happen, but I think there's definite reason for hope!

I just think there are teams more likely to go on a run than us. We have won 1 home league game under Klopp and that was 1-0 against a team in terrible form. If we win the next few at home then everything starts to look different.

As we all know from Swansea onwards we had a decent run of games in the league and if we come out with a good number of points we can start to look upwards.

I would say it's a very safe bet that City will be minimum top 4. I couldn't say that for us at this stage. Next likeliest to finish top 4 I'd have Arsenal. After that probably United. Things can change but at this point we are miles away with regards to odds on us winning the league, IMO.

Title challenge. Though given the nature of the league this year, that could mean a finishing position of anywhere between 1st and 5th.

I wouldn't be too devastated with 5th and a good cup run, especially given the upheaval we've had (not to mention the injuries). But I really do think that we've got all to play for this year, it's wide open. Win a decent amount of our (very-winnable) games coming up in December and we could be close to the top by New Year. If so, from there anything's possible.

When he took over I'd have taken a cup win & 6th. In fact, I'd still take 6th if we won the Europa. But I think it's on for us now to have a crack at 4th. If we are in a better position on February 1st having bought some players that improve our chances then great.

With all the top teams having to come to Anfield there is no reason why we cant sustain a title challenge.

Still think City will sort themselves out specially if they can get Kompany fit...

Think we are a far better chance than 14/1 taking into account United are 5/1.

It's a difficult one, on the one had we have just changed managers and I had more or less written this season off as a transition season. People are mentioning that we are only 6 points off top spot and have played our difficult away games. That is a reasonable position to be in and looking at that point of view it would be easy to get carried away

However for me our home form is a big problem, despite all the difficult away games we have still picked up more points away from home than we have at home. If our home form continues to stutter then we'll have difficulty doing anything of note. If we can turn Anfield into a fortress particularly with all the big sides still to come and play us at home that could see us in a great position right up there. But we are still very much a side in transition so I don't think we can expect that to happen.

For me top 4 is what we need, top 4 and a cup would be great, anything beyond that would be amazing.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The fact we are only 6 points behind kind of hints that we are not the only ones with problems at home.

Well every top team apparently have to drop 3 points against West Ham at home for one thing.

Seems like everyone's away form is better than their home form this season.
