The longer the game went on you just knew it. Poor Mig clearance, corner, Ibe not switched on to the short corner, 4 jump with Fellaini... A catalogue of poor decisions/play.
I've noticed recently that if we make one mistake it spreads panic and we compound it with 2 or 3 in a row.

We need to go buy a striker now. Fsg can **** off with their myth of there's no value in January. Get the ****ing cheque book out and sign a striker. We are in January and there's still loads to play for this season. Sell Benteke ffs and use that to get someone else in if they don't want to part with the clubs cash.

We want to win that match benteke is probably the better option. Ibe isn't a match winner whereas benteke can be on his day. I like ibe but were in the process of him discovering what sort of player he wants to be. Is he a winger, is a wide forward, is a an inside forward but what's clear is that at the moment he isn't a goal threat.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI'm not sure it is so much of a blind spot rather than we lack good attacking options. The only attacking mids from our side with enough quality are Firmino and Coutinho. We are even further hamstrung by a lack of forwards.
Kloppo doesn't rate benteke but if you bring him on he needs service otherwise he just takes up a shirt which someone else could put on. Same for caulker, if we have two big headers of the ball in the box we really need something for them to attack.
But we only have ourselves to blame. We can't defend set pieces, we struggle to keep clean sheets and every team knows that we gift goals. Doesn't matter how many goals you score if you can't do the business at the other end its a waste.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

We really are a mid table team in an ordinary league. Massive job for Klopp. Massive statement from the owners is required and right now.
I really can't stand Lalliana. ****s about with the ball endlessly and achieves nothing.
They showed the benefits of having a top keeper and someone to score off of limited chances.Last edited by Big-Red-Ed; 17-01-16, 05:19 PM.

All bark and no bite. A squad full of 67 out of 10 players. Infuriating to watch at times. United were ****e and have been ****e all season but you could see them getting a spawny goal... was so ****ing predictable.
Klopp's use or non use of the subs was annoying. Can, Firmino & Lallana looked exhausted in the second half any of them should have been of earlier, sure way to get more injuries too. So annoyed, buy a ****ing striker ffs! Oh and that worst United team ever have beaten us 4 in a row, desperate stuff

Yep. It's a ****ing joke if we dont get someone, we are playing an attacker who hasn't scored a goal all season and are bringing a centre back on late as an attacker. And we cant find someone who'll improve us or help in some way? Righttttt!Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostWe need to go buy a striker now. January actually seems to be the only time we ever do any good business anyway. Maxi, Godrez, Arbeloa etc etc

Klopp has no options up front and we have attacking midfielders who can't score - so he's in an almost impossible situation. All he can do is set the team up to tactically outplay the opposition, which he did. Origi or Sturridge would have made a big difference.
Lallana is clearly not good enough. Imagine if we had a £25 million attacking midfielder who could actually score goals.
I think we've got to look at the bigger picture and see that we have a manager of the highest pedigree who can take us places but unfortunately he's got a squad who he can only do so much with.

I agree we don't look threatening enough. Today only firmino looked a threat, Milner offered very little from wide, Henderson and Can were always on the go but its lallana who should worry us all. That boy has forgotten what his game is about, he's re-invented himself and a nothing. He isn't a goal threat, he cant create chances. He's like Forrest Gump with a few tekkers.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostBut we don't score enough goals. this is true also, at least Klopp should be able to attract some decent players and not just over pay for substandard overpriced PL ones.
He need to produce his bit of magic a la Rafa and find us an Alonso.
We have no one to control the game in midfield so we play with no tempo.Modifying post.
