    a bit like lazar markovic.
How LFC replace and sign players, is there ever really a "direct replacement"??

    Really??

very difficult to find 2 players exactly the same but there's a system or a style of football klopp will put in place in which each player has certain roles / jobs to do.

RE: allen, i dont think zielinksi and allen are alike. they offer the team different things, one more defensive and the other more offensive / creative.

unlikely, as we dont know why we have signed half of the ones we have.

i was going to do a list, but cba
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

Glad I didn't see this game by the looks of it , should never lose a 2 nil lead,

very bad day at the office all round , a win and 4th was in reach again just seems like we cant put pressure on other teams before we falter ourselves.

Deffo shows new GK and Centre half needed for next season though. Calker nowhere to be seen surely better than Skrtel at the moment.

I'm not sure how any of this is Mig's fault.

i fully understand Dans point about the capitulation not just being down to the ****e cameo by skrtel. the whole team floundered.
if we were so commanding then how is it possible to fold so dramatically...

we could have scored 4 or 5 in the first half, we could also have conceded a few too. we are not overpowering and dominating teams/games, its more that we are nudging ahead and only just getting away with it half the time.

the little bit of extra midfield beef in the shape of wanyama and mane helping to link forward play and then getting into the box made us look like the pretenders we often are.

I just saw Mig's involvement with his fluffed kick and think if we had a Gk who was confident the ball would sail into their half and the pressure has gone for us to regroup properly.

regardless if Skrtel was a disaster, it doesn't make ration sense that everyone else decided to either go into panic mode or crawl into their shell. To say that one player single handedly caused everyone else to play **** is actually ridiculous. And if by some miracle that was the truth, then the whole lot of them go **** right off.

I am by no means defending Skrtel's performance in the slightest but i do feel that anger is clouding some people's judgement.

I've stayed away from watching this since I was working when it was on and was too pissed off to watch it, until now.

After reading this thread, I was under the impression that this was purely all down to Skittles (who I've never rated highly). Having watched the game now, I thought the penalty was a tough call, they were both at each other in equal measures, both had their hands on each others shirts.

Sakho should've done better with two of the goals, he had the edge and inside of each attack on goal. Wanyama destroyed him.

Skittles did was skittles does. He instills panic, is slow, and has piss poor positioning. Klopp should be well aware of these issues by now. At this stage of the season with the top 4 within reach, the right decision would've been to bring on Toure and Henderson and protect the 2 goal lead.

Oh well, its what we do best, inconsistency.

Of course one player can cause mayhem! If we can go on about how one players superlative performance can drag players up, we can certainly talk about one players ****wittery dragging everybody down.

Skrtel's introduction caused panic amongst our defence; across to both Flanagan and Sakho, behind to Mignolet and in front to Allen. He basically ****ed up in all directions of the compass. He put that element of doubt in players' minds when he conceded a penalty within five minutes of coming on and his brainless performance carried on with him marching into midfield and retreating back to Mignolet - positionally, he was all over the place.

Yet for all his random movement, he tackled no one, intercepted nothing and got in the way of precisely **** all. His performance alone caused panic amongst our players and it was infectious. He was regularly beaten in the air, out-fought for 50/50 headers and made our defence disjointed.

We've looked relatively solid in defence with marked improvements from Lovren and Sahko in the eight or so games that Skrtel has been out. In 45 minutes Skrtel caused chaos ... it's no coincidence.

I'm still ****in furious about this!! ****ed up the remainder of the season in the worst possible way. Skrtel ruined us, but even the others can't be pleased with themselves for that second half, or all the wasted chances that would have put us 4-0 up by half time. All of the great work from previous weeks undone in 45 minutes.

                        Fuuuuuuuuck off!!!

Yup, pretty much how I felt after the game. Not arsed now, those kind of performances are the norm rather than the exception, not a lot is going to change until big changes are made to the squad. More of the same to come, even Klopp can not polish this ****ing turd.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Certainly are when your man Skrtel is on the pitch. When Lovren and Sakho are paired together we are fine, shame both seem to have their injury problems.

11.5 games together as a 2, 6 clean sheets and we've only conceded 8, a more than decent return.

Wor Marty's last 3/4 games, 3 conceded at Southampton, 2 at Watford (was off after 41mins, 3rd went in when he wasnt on), 2 conceded at home to West Brom, 2 conceded at Newcastle.

9 goals in not even 3 full games of football, a lot of them his fault! The negative impact he has on us is horrific. Making sure this fella isn't here next season or plays no minutes if he is is as important as any new signing.
