Aside from the defending I think that if Benteke puts that chance in at 2-1 we go on to win the game.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Having Skrtel on the pitch second half didn't help it was obvious he was not ready. Was off the pace, never won his duels and was positionally all over the shop. Klopp looked frustrated and he should be. He should blame himself today.

To have gone in 4-0 at half time wouldn't have been an unfair scoreline. It doesn't matter if the game was open, we were first to every ball, we dominated midfield and won many a second ball. We were cool, calm and clearly had a plan. We cut through Southampton with ease.

The second half was the polar opposite of that and was helped no end by Skrtel's ****wittery. He never won his duels because he gets stuck under the ball, he was roaming around because he can't hold a line and that's supposed to be all on Klopp? Behave.

yup, he had two great chances and Allen had a one vs one. Came back to bite us.

That is a really good point

Well yes. We all know of his failings but the manager keeps picking him. Simple deduction really.

As soon as we saw him on the pitch, I'm sure we were all feeling that it was going to be a car crash. Or that the possibility was real.

The manager sees him first hand day in day out.
            Are we winning?

I'm more annoyed about the Joe Allen miss at 0-2 because a) It was an easier chance, and b) it would have been one of the goals of the season.

I think that we need to improve in both boxes, and to be fair recently we seem to have been improving, we've looked stronger at the back (until the second half today) and we have started putting the ball in the net a bit more since the turn of the year, but I feel that there are still alot of times where we are nowhere near clinical enough in front of goal, and we never get to the point where we completely put games to bed, we are always in danger of letting teams back into games.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "The first half we played brilliant football, we have to close the game out, you have to accept the second-half they controlled the game.

"They scored three goals, we didn't, that is how football is."
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

You can have a bad day at the office like this once in a while if you're having a good season but when you have a bad start like we have you cannot afford days like this.

To lose after being 2-0 up. So bloody annoying.

Hopefully Skrtel hasn't crushed our petals before we have to go to Dortmund. With him around you could see how quickly confidence in the defence disappeared

That's my biggest concern too, Sakho who has been so good recently looked panicked and was running around like a headless chicken too by the end of the game.

Lucky not to have a penalty given against us when Lovren barged over their player. One of the few moments I managed to catch while combining stream hunting and working.

Stream jittering so not entirely sure on the one where Mig booted it high and not very far. Can muscled off the ball trying to be too cleven just before it went back to Mig?

Seen suggestion they bossed it when Wanyama came on?

Not seen the penalty or the other goal. BBC suggested that Sahko gave Mane too much space to turn - their first?

Benteke going on always seems to slow us down. The bits towards the end I caught always seemed to be us playing to no target up front.

Was there a penalty shout for us right near the end? Stream issues again!

A game we should have simply won by HT....who to blame but ourselves and more so certain individuals....open the Exit door now.

Not sure why Klopp alluded to confidence being a brittle thing before the game but seems to be spookily insightful.Skrtel, aside from the obvious blunders, was completely lost on the pitch. It's no surprise that it led Sakho to start panicking.
