Near perfection in the first half. A great glimpse of our potential that and other performances in recent weeks. Ruined by bringing on the worst CB in the country.
Can only hope lessons are learned from it but we've had to put up with this for years, he'll probably get another contract and start both Dortmund games as a "reward". What a chance for top 4 with amazing momentum completely ****ed.

Skrtel was ****, Benteke was ****e, the midfield bottled it. All that, but that ****ing game should have been dead and buried. The amount of easy chances we missed was ridiculous.
We brought on Skrtel that has been out for months & Benteke who has had a nightmare... not players tanked. They brought on Mane & Wanyama who completely dominated the second half.
Klopp is to blame today lads, nobody else. Terrible choice of subs.

First half we were great, with the changes they made at half time they were always going to be better than they were in the first half. But Skrtel, WTF? - he was terrible, he gave the penalty away (but we got away with that), but he seems to create chaos in the defence, he was charging around, poorly positioning himself and the whole situation was a nightmare, by the end Sakho who has been fantastic recently had gone to pieces and was panicing.
This was further proof if any were needed that Skrtel should never play for us again, he's given good service in the past and thanks for that, but he needs to go now.
This result has put a huge dent in any chance we might have thought we'd have of making the top 4 - a win would have moved us ahead of Stoke and Southampton and level on points with Man Utd (before their game today), with a game in hand win that and we'd have been level on points with West Ham and closing in on City. We've royally screwed ourselves over here. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Second half - awful. Toure would have been a better choice (than Skrtel) and Henderson should have been brought on for Sturridge.
Tough lesson for the manager.
Yup he got those wrong.
I think he'll learn from today though

The only positive is that hopefully it's the last time we see Skrtel play in a meaningful game for the club. Great servent and such but he's ****ing atrocious. Completly unbalanced and unnerved the keeper and the rest of the team when he came on. Proceeded to give away a needless penatly in his first 5 minutes on the pitch and it only got worse from them.
Hopefully we can end this nonsense about a top 4 finish once and for all and concentrate on rebuilding for a title push next season

Wow, well that's something I suppose!Originally posted by BigChief View PostFirst time in PL history that LFC lost a game after leading 2-0.
Well done Klopp, something Roy couldn't manage either.
Seriously though, it's games like this which test one's belief in life the universe and everything.
You'd have to wonder how one player can induce so much chaos, today you could argue that the circumstances were particular to the day with Flanno at right back, Clyne at left back and Skrtel himself coming on at the half way point but his ability to not be on the same wavelength as the rest is remarkable - Benteke likewise up top - unable to read a pass, completely hopeless when the moment of truth arrives
