Same here, would take a 1-0 home win in a pretty evenly matched tie every time, fancy us to score anywhere then the home side are in a world of ****. Bayern last night didnt exactly help my confidence, dominated the whole game but one mistake at the back and you are ****ed.

I was quite confident (still am), but the Bayen match last night is hardly a good sign for us.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I dont disagree. Its a European semi final and anything can happen and we could play them off the park and not score. But by the same token, the team talk does itself and I fully expect us to go out and win the tie.

Not wrong. But what will be will be. I think it's that we played so well and didn't score that's got everyone nervous. Prior to the game I think most would have taken that result, but when you play so well and don't score it sets nerves fraying.

But I think that game is out the system and I have to believe we can beat them with the crowd roaring and a fit coutinho and can back.

IMO 1-0 down after the away leg is very dangerous, that goal at the end was a killer. I dunno what the stats say for teams 1-0 down before the home leg, but as has been mentioned one mistake and you're ****ed. And since we are so dodgy at the back sometimes I'm finding it difficult to feel confident.

            Sturridge has to start.

Isn't there a stat floating around that in Uefa Cup/Europa Semi's, the last 8 out of 9 teams to lose 1-0 in the first leg have then gone on to win the tie in the second leg.

We are the one team not too

Im confident in only one thing. This club never does anything the easy way since I've been a fan. Its always backs to the wall and come out swinging. Clop will have them fired up....im just praying we don't come out too hung ho and leave ourselves with another mountain to climb after the inevitable **** up defensively We surely can't do it again.

We need an early goal and the crowd getting fired up big time. They will **** themselves if that happens.

I think we're going to blitz them and win 4-1

Villarreal are in the Hilton in Liverpool city centre now. What we need are some noisy people to sit outside yelling at the hotel all night, some PA's, big engines - just loads of noise.

Sturridge will start, be mad not to. But for some reason that's still doing nothing for my confidence.

IMO when you look at a game and setting up for it, its harder when things go to pot mid match to react.

If we had won 1-0, you have the stick or twist mentality in the home leg (I also get that they would have to come out and attack which would create openings).

If it was 0-0, do you go all out or do you wait it out.

At least this way, we have to win and we have to go for it. I much prefer that.

Let us know how you get on

Echo the thoughts of others, 1 nil down was a bad result and really has the pressure on us. I certainly wouldn't have signed up to that scoreline before the away leg. An away goal was there for us but we didn't do enough over there. They could end up having 120 minutes to get an away goal against us.

I hope we go through obviously but I'm not confident at all. Expect them to shut up shop and hold what they have and we'll help them by not picking our best goal threat.

I'm usually pretty optimistic about these scenarios, but I think we're going to go out. We've lost too many important players to get through. Plus, others seem to have fallen out of form at precisely the wrong time.

I don't think we'll score and wouldn't bet against them nicking at least one on the counter.

This always did look like a tough draw.

I'm not confident for this one at all, I think we have been on a bit of a lucky ride recently with key squad members dropping out and kids managing to plug gaps. That, along with the emotion of the Dortmund game makes me wonder if the season peaked there and we're on a bit of a slow puncture end to the season.

That said, if the fans can get up for it at Anfield, who knows what might happen. Let's just hope its not a few games too far.

We're going to **** them up the arse proper straight from the off. Anfield atmosphere is going to be ****ing unreal, they will implode like Arsenal do every season since the dawn of time. It's going to be the epitome of football's storytelling extravaganza! We will top Dortmund atmosphere and electricity, anal penetration at its finest.
