We are on a roll. And a dodgy goalkeeping decision or two can cost points that can fock up that momentum.

So right now, i would be happy to see Karius play all cup matches. With Mignolet keeping his place for league games. If (when) Mig has something like 2 **** ups that cost us points in more than one game, then that would be the time to introduce Karius - IF he has shown good form in cup games.

If Klopp was to put Karius in right now, and he focks up, then the pressure he would be under would be unreal.
Waiting for Mig to cost a couple matches before giving Karius a chance to establish himself? That's a bit slamming the stable door after the horse has bolted, isn't it?

If you hold off on playing Karius in case he makes a clanger early on, then you're effectively delaying playing him indefinitely.

Get him in the team if he's fit and ready. Cup games are too few and far between at this stage of the season to give him a chance to establish himself.

Or Klopp should pick who he thinks is the best keeper after so many hours of training. At the moment that would appear to be Mig at the moment.

The thing is that he will feck up at some point, all keepers do during a season, but from what I have seen of Karius last seson ( albeit only a small bit) is that he seems to recover mentally from a flap or mistake very quickly and seems to not get the jitters for long in game, if at all, after that flap or mistake.

Strikes me as having that touch of confidence/arrogance on the pitch that allows a good player to take risks without going into their shell when it does not pay off.

To be fair I did put that he used to be seen behind those guys and that like Karius, those guys were/are also seen as the successors to Neuer.

Could probably pick flaws in all four tbh, and for my money the most rounded of the four at present is probably ter Stegan. But Karius does have a hell of a lot of potential, and could just as easily turn out to be the best of the four as any of the rest of them.

One thing that is sure is that Germany have no shortage of up and coming quality between the sticks.

As I said, if he's fit and ready.
Karius has been selected for 1 of the 2 games he's been available for so not really anything yet to suggest that Mig was favoured in the other game for anything other than fitness.

Karius was almost certain to start against Arsenal, so would be no surprise to see him start against Hull now that he’s fit. That being said, Mig hasn’t been that bad this year and I think Klopp might just keep faith for now, however if he is keen to integrate Karius into the first team as soon as possible, home to Hull has got to be the perfect starting point.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

How do you come to the conclusion that karius was almost certain to start against arsenal? Wishing it so don't make it true.

Signs and comments during the summer, plus any LFC based journo I heard afterwards always commented that he was expected to start.

At the time I think I though Mig would start as no.1 and Karius eased into first team action, but the evidence since has suggested otherwise.

It hasn't. You're just guessing like the journalists you mentioned.

Of course I'm guessing, because he wasn't fit to play, but it was an educated guess based on the evidence presented, just like you are 'guessing' that Mig is our current No.1.

I thought with Karius not going to the Olympics the suggestion was that he would be starting the season in goal.

I think he will start in goal tomorrow, I can't see him being tested that much so it could be a good game for him to start.

He would have started the season and probably kept his place just due to being involved in all of preseason training
