think he has 3 years left on his contract and imagine he wont get the wages we pay him elsewhere so wouldnt be surprised for him to leave for a lot less than that.

There is a higher chance of Karius sustaining this form than there was of Mignolet sustaining his form at the end of last season. But that's not enough, if we can get a significant upgrade we should do it. Indeed it should be a priority.

You don't become champions by going into seasons with first choice players you are counting on having improved having been too poor to play for long periods. At least not when there is **** all competition or quality alternative to them. You have to play the percentages to some extent, and this is not a risk we should be embracing.

Yep, first post on page 1 of this thread

Karius is no stranger to English football having spent two years in Manchester City’s youth ranks before leaving at the age of 17 in 2001.

Exactly this. Last position on the pitch you should take a gamble on.

He’s doing well but if there is genuine top quality available then we have to go for it.

I just remember reading it when we signed him and it stuck with me.

Its probably because we have gotten use to a keeper not making them

Fair play to Karius hes improved dramatically the last few games, whether hes good enough to be our No.1 going forward I am not sure but hes doing a decent job at the moment
