I'm always a bit skeptic on the errors leading to goals stat, most of us have watched all our games anyways so are in a good place to see that errors that luckily didn't lead to a goal... happen quite a bit. Karius just doesn't look a confident keeper IMO, he has improved no doubts but I still think he is a flapper & is mentality weak.

He will get a torrent of abuse in every game he plays next season. It will be incessant IMO, he's got a tough road ahead of him. Regardless of the Madrid game, I thought we needed better anyways.

Seemed a bit light to me too... Palace & WBA spring to mind straight away; I'm sure there were more

yeah I don't know what criteria they use to judge these stats. Even his and Moreno who was mentioned, what about errors "not" leading to goals which happen regularly & they just got away with them. Things like defender switching off or gk with bad positioning surely should be considered errors leading to goals?? We are LFC supporters that watch all the game so we can see this, if it was a stat about a random player for another club we don't watch regularly, we would probably take the stat on board and think it's great!

Loris Karius: Liverpool keeper deserves second chance says Grobbelaar

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius deserves "a second chance" after his mistakes in the Champions League final, says Bruce Grobbelaar.

The German, 24, has apologised after his errors helped Real Madrid win 3-1.

Retired goalkeeper Grobbelaar won the 1984 European Cup and six English titles in his 13 years with Liverpool.

He told BBC Sport: "They gave me two years of second chances, so why can't they give him a second chance after one game?"

Grobbelaar, who played for Liverpool between 1981 and 1994, added: "They should keep him in the spotlight from next season."

"First game back, get him back as soon as possible."

Karius' errors cost Liverpool in their attempt to become European champions for a sixth time, but Grobbelaar feels his former side are close.

"Liverpool can win the Champions League next year but need two more players to add to the squad," Grobbelaar added. "They need a centre-half and a striker."

I think he does too. He seems a good lad and also seems to learn from his mistakes

There's a good keeper in there somewhere but his confidence will be shot for a while at least. Focus and decision making need some work.

I just can't see a way back for him. He will be so under the microscope every minute he plays. Despite our YNWA creed we can be not the most forgiving lot. In every away game he will get the piss ripped out of him.

Normally I’d be onside with second chances and all that but that first mistake was so **** that you’d think he hasn’t got it in him for redemption

No thanks. Feel sorry for him but no thanks.

Next mistake he makes - and there will be (because everyone makes mistakes) - he will be crucified.

Don't think sitting on our bench next season helps him much either. Needs a fresh start.

Seems to have some fatal technical issues about him. Can they be coached out?

Not whilst he's playing in goal for us each week, please!

not by our gk coach. he may even add to the issues judging by how he has crushed all the other players he has had his hands on...
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Weird that you say this because Klopp rates the coach highly and is still in a job.
                                Are we winning?
