I think if we could get a settled back 4/5, we'd see less mistakes and a lot more consistency from all our defenders, but once again that looks like a bit of a pipe dream and we’ll be chopping and changing quite regularly again.
People use to say the same about David James

Bottom line is good goalkeepers improve defences

Origi came back at the same time and he played against Milan. If Karius was fit I'd be amazed if Mig got any minutes and the fact he didn't start last night says it all for me. The manager isnt convinced by him and wants a look at Manniger. Rightly so.

i agree with you. But that makes the whole 5 year contract all the more surprising!!!

For me, I wouldnt be surprised if Mig was sold. The injury to Karius probably stops that but in Karius is established as #1 by Jan, I wouldnt be surprised if Mig was looking to fock off...

I wouldnt be surprised if Manniger actually started away to Arsenal (would be a typical story) but to be honest, you go through the whole team and I don't have a ****in clue who will line up on the opening day of the season. Clyne is probably the only nailed on starter.......probably Mane and Emre Can as well in all fairness - and also Lovren because of injury - although that could change if Matip makes a comeback.

Oh I say his vision there was lovely

Manniger looked like a 60yr old man who has seen far far too much sun. He's weathered like an old baseball mitt

Good to have 2 matches coming up on at decent times, even if one overlaps with the Charity Shield. Something else to look forward to this weekend.
