I didn't think Can did too badly really. He was the one of the 3 in midfield that tried to get things happening. Quite a bit of his work came to nothing but he was trying at least. Hendo was way off the mark today & Gini did nowt either. I can't remember Milner having as bad of a game as today in recent times.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Fair enough i might be being over harsh on him and to be fair he never hides and he always tries but I just feel he at times just lacks a little bit of zip about him if that makes sense, as I said it might be because he's such a big unit so it looks worse st times with him

Funny how we see games differently. Thought Can, Henderson and Milner played ok. I expected more from Wijnaldum.
          Another MASSIVE game

Henderson did the defensive side well but he was in full Horrendouson mode going the other way - stupid punts and diagonals (Gerrard's influence seeping out of the stands!) and far too many backwards passes when under no actual pressure.

            Danny Murphy

Man of the match according to Danny Murphy.

As for Can, I don't think he's good enough. Takes too many touches and slows our play down. What he has for him is the ability to drive forward. When at full strength, he shouldn't be in our first 11. I'd have Gini ahead of him all the time.
              Are we winning?

                You didn't watch the game.
                Oh I don't know.

No but I've seen enough of Can. I don't think he's technically good enough for us.

                    Klopp

"There is a lot to analyse. This was the most defensive team I ever saw in my life. Sunderland always play a defensive style and that is OK. We forced them to be that. It is the most difficult thing in world football to come through but we stayed concentrated, worked for the moment and found a way."
                    Oh I don't know.

I think Klopp has already shown that he favours Can against the more physical/direct sides

The atmosphere was brilliant in the second half yesterday....

In the last 5 seasons, that'd have finished as a nil all. But the team kept plugging away.

Hopefully Chelsea and city can knock the **** out of each other next weekend

Brilliant result, what can you do playing against ****e like that who literally sit eleven men behind the ball with zero interest of doing anything positive. We dominated the game everywhere on the pitch 27 attempts on goal and deserved that 3 points. I did think it was going to be one of those games, some strike from Origi.

Thought Mane and Wijnaldum were very poor. Some saying Can wasn't great, I actually thought he had a decent game but I agree that he doesn't move the ball as quickly as others. Really hoping the injuries to Coutinho and Firmino aren't too bad.

I had him as MOTM which might have been a bit kind but he was certainty our best midfielder.

Plenty others had him in the top three, which i guess means they actually watched him play. https://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/sho...92#post3330692

Hopefully the injury to Coutinho isn't too bad, and Firmino going off at the end was just a precaution.

I read the BBC saying that Origi's goal was a mis-hit cross I'm glad he did well, I like him as a player and think than he is more suited to our current style of play than Sturridge I think that he can slot into the system fairly easily if one of the front 3 are out. I was hoping it would be for Mane in January but it may have to be Coutinho now.

I thought Karius had a good game, didn't have much to do but made a couple of important saves and his distribution was better.
Scored from a very similar 'cross' against Stoke last year.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
