The Race for the Top 4 2017

We really need to win the next 2 games! That would finish us on 76 points.
If man city win their last 3 that puts them on 78.
If utd win their last 3 that puts them on 74.
If arsenal win their last 4 that puts them on 75.
That would mean we finish 4th 1 point ahead of arsenal in 5th and utd 6th. Gotta keep it in our own hands! Soo **** to see we didn't attack more purposefully today and get a firmer grip on a top 4 finish...just makes the next game very important as if we get less than 3 points then it is more in favour of utd & arsenal. Massive game really and we all know how we fair when the pressure is on! #****in****ingIt

I would assume that same logic is to be applied to the other teams fighting it out with us?

If CIty or ourselves dont get top 4 it would be us throwing it away so the same logic doesnt apply. bar the odd game week we have been in the strongest positions for a long time.

its not reasonable to expect every team to win while we lose. I think the reality is they will **** up and so will we. I actually think United will struggle to get the 6 points they need to overhaul us from Spurs & City away and Palace at Home.

Arsenal still have to got Soton & Stoke and lets be honest they were not great today they beat half a united team who have been ****e themselves.

Still confiident we will make top 4

Mate let's hope so! But i want us to make top 4 in our own rights as in win the last 2 & that guarantees us at least 4th regardless of what everyone else does.

(Just want a proper go at the summer window to semi assemble a stronger squad for next year & to stay in the top 4 next year too which will allow us to add further quality to our squad in the next summer window (plus/minus what happens in the Jan Window in between). In 2 more years if we don't have a decent squad by then, then we are just yoyo-ing in & out the CL (which is inevitable as there are 6 teams minimum that are vying for 4 places) or we will always be in a position where we are always the 5th best team in the league unless the way we play becomes a lot more consistent for the better!)

City have Leicester who are playing pretty well and West Brom who can be a ******* of a team to play at this stage of the season. I'm hoping they get 4 points at the most from those two.

Looks like it will go down the the final day now in some shape or form. And seeing as they play Everton on the final day we better get a result against Boro!

I'd still put us strong favourites, but the goals are really drying up for us now.

They play twice before we play again so let's see how much pressure they can put us under.

Southampton Away and SUnderland at home...and could be 1 point behind us

I said on the previous page that Arsenal were the danger not United. Stilll fancy us to beat West Ham, And then it will be 90 minutes of ****ting ourselves against Boro.

A good thing, cant wait for it to be over and we'll know by the end of this weekend. Despite the **** home form we'll beat Boro in a European type atmosphere if we have to so beat West Ham on Sun and we'll get there. But drop points there and Arsenal win their two beforehand and we are completely ****ed, their last 2 are basically byes v one of the worst sides in the leagues history and anyone who thinks Everton wont fix on the last day if they can screw us is frankly an utter moron. Really dont fancy us at West Ham though so praying for a favour before then.
