He does look crap doesn't he. He could do with some games and a goal but so far he looks ****ing rubbish.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I do think that is slightly unfair, he has had a decent amount of time but it's largely 10-20 mins here and there. It's difficult to get up to speed in that time especially for a youngster who is not suited to our style of play. But for me that makes it more of a mystery as to why he is getting game time ahead of someone like Woodburn who seems more suited to oureceive style. Solanke needed football this year as it seems that he was largely frozen out at Chelsea last year. He has to go on loan next season, so we can get some kind of idea what he'says about because we'very yet to discover that...Originally posted by Big-Red-Ed View PostAnd he's had loads of game time throughout the season. Looks woeful. Couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. Klopp must see something in training that we can't. Absolute mystery to me.

Yeah, I have to agree. I try to keep and optimistic view about him, i.e. he's still young, havn't started many games, did score a lot of goals earlier, ..., but he shows a worringly lack of quality in just about everything he does. He did come to a couple of chances at least, but that was about it.

On page one of this thread someone quoted a Chelsea fan saying his record when on loan at vitesse arnham was 3 goals in 30. That's all we ever needed to know. I don't have a problem taking a punt but why keep playing him? Proper **** average player.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

I thought that we should have sent him out on loan at the start of this season and that was based on his situation at Chelsea last season (effectively been frozen out and hardly playing at any level). I don't know how we could expect someone from that position to come in and perform. This season we have gone from having a good, rotate-able squad to a first 11 and a bench of poor substitutes. Injury is part of that (Matip, Clyne, Can, Ox-C and Lallana) and the superlative form of the strikers makes almost anyone a poor substitute but some players have not developed (Woodburn, Solanke) or are not good enough (Ings). This might hyet cost us a place in the Champions League, so it needs to be fixed over the summer.
Chelsea fans tell me Solanke will never be good enough; he certainly needs games now, as does Woodburn.

same as myself was really hoping we would get another quality striker in the summer. Strange relying on Ings who has been out for years and Solanke with zero experience as backup. This is the thing though likes of waiting for VVD in January... it's a dangerous game.
