I agree that we haven't given enough time in the role to Solanke to be able to judge him yet though. If we are going to take every young player, give them a few minutes at a time and then judge them on that we're not going to get that many coming through.
To me though young players have to grasp the nettle when given it

Solanke has had a number of cameos and a few starts but he hasnt shown anything in those that would make me think theres a player in there somewhere

Perhaps. I'd still give him a bit more of a chance, even if it's in the cups next year. I thought he was great as a youth player at Chelsea, this might just be an off period during his difficult years.

If there is one thing that might cheer us up though, I can't think of many other players who we've let go from our youth teams who have gone on to great things, so our evaluation criteria can't be too badly off.

I don’t think he suits our style of play.

Same issue (though different style) as Sturridge. With Sturridge it was movement and workrate. With Solanke it is technical ability. The way we play you have to have amazing technique, be able to instantly turn and control a quick touch an eye for space and great movement. So far Solanke looks more of a route one CF, not one that will flourish with our chosen style of play.

He looks more of an Andy Carroll, who could succeed playing up against a centre back, winning knock Ons and fighting.

His touch looks hopeless so far.

No idea but I assumed the point of him going there was to become best mates with Sessegon so he could convince him to join us

Ojo is mega injury prone unfortunately. Definitely won't be staying with us.

Surely him being injury prone makes him more likely to stay, he'll fit in much better
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
