Deano mentioned a possible change to a 532 but I’d be more inclined to go 343 or 352 which wouldn’t include Robbo in the change of formation.

Wouldn't be a fan of the current system myself and would prefer us to go back to the previous system in which Robbo and Trent thrived. Would be nice to get a quality DM in there to help shore things up.

Think with a 3-4-3 that would have to be rigid with the FB's bombing on, 5-3-2 / 3-5-2 same thing IMO but would still give a license for the FB to roam, but at present I reckin his legs have gone

I think over the last 3 seasons he had a decent patch in 21/22 but he's dropped off from the player he was before covid. He's been run into the ground tbf, and now the formation change doesnt help him.

Said similar about the formation in the Mo thread.

Drop Mo into a false 9, & keep Trent inverted when we are attacking. 4-4-2 defensively or 4-5-1 when we need to go low-ish block. Robbo misses out as I would have Gomez as LCB/LB - assuming we don’t bring anyone else in. Injury cover could be Quansah - but very early days there.

Going 4 at the back is a bit more efficient in terms of player movement in transition and leaves less space in the middle for teams to exploit.

Interesting. You’ve managed to get an extra striker in there in place of a midfielder but you’ve got Mo central. Gakpo looks the more logical player for the false 9 role on what I’ve seen so far.
