I absolutely hate watching him play these days. The level he plays at now is about 10% of his peak. He doesn't press, he rarely dribbles, he rarely smiles. He's a complete passenger outside the box. But on occasion if he manages to find space in the box he still finishes consistently. He reminds me of how Ronaldo was last year. Legs have gone but he doesn't lose the instinct to score. He's never getting back to the old level. Trouble is he's on 400k and no ****er is buying him now so he's here to stay. Which means he'll keep being picked. Which ultimately could cost klopp his job if the results continue to be ****.

It takes a few seasons of ****ness to earn such a coveted title. 17 goals so far in a dysfunctional side, think he's gets a pass for the moment but his general play needs to improve.Originally posted by SB View PostIs he the new Turd That Won’t Flush yet Dan?Last edited by danperkins; 18-01-23, 08:05 AM.

Being realistic here, we have the same issue with Salah as we do with a number of players. He is overplayed. We signed Nunez, Diaz and Jota but Salah is the only one always available for every game. He should be in a position where he is able to be rested and rotated but due to injuries within the squad we have to play him every single game.Modifying post.

And we need to play him closer to goal and ideally with a partner - I think our tactical set is isolating him and yet he’s got 17 goals. Unlike others I don’t see him as a problemOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostBeing realistic here, we have the same issue with Salah as we do with a number of players. He is overplayed. He’s also failing to dribble past anybody, which is weird as he’s one of the only players who could single-handedly dribble through an entire defence. And he used curl shots into the top corner from the edge of the box and now doesn’t ever do that. Still an effective goal poacher, but has lost everything else that really made him special.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Even last night he was mm away from releasing Doak in on goal.
He is such a threat that whomever we play he will be heavily marked and I never see him stop working. I dont think we are seeing the best of him, but I agree it is tactical as we try to intagrate Nunez.Modifying post.

Think the problem is not so much the fact Mo's goal scoring rate is currently becoming very good where it used to be other wordly, but more the inability of the rest of the team to make up the numbers Mo has not been getting this season.
Coupled with our ability this season to leak goals on demand, it makes us pretty much a mid table performer for now.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

On the other hand Mo’s lack of goals has put pressure on Nunez & potentially Gakpo & CoOriginally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostThink the problem is not so much the fact Mo's goal scoring rate is currently becoming very good where it used to be other wordly, but more the inability of the rest of the team to make up the numbers Mo has not been getting this season.

But is it on Mo to be carrying the team or should the team be chipping in more when Mo's goal and assist getting is "only" at a good level?
Though the bigger issue is not the smallish decrease on the amount of goals scored but instead the massive increase in goals at the other end.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
