He does from time to time to be fair.


Though this week each day he posted a pic or pics of himself all alone it has coincided with something.


The day of the game vs Inter (or was it the day the team flew out and he was left behind?) and now again this morning on the day he is meant to be having a sit down with Slot.

To be fair he’s posted loads of this sort of ‘Mo in the gym’ photos over the years - everyone is just adding g their pen narrative now.

Well is he a serial poster on social media or does he just post a few a month kinda thing? If it's case where this is not his norm posting pattern, then it's pretty obvious what's going on but if he does this on the regular then nothing to see here.

Just looked at his insta account for 2025 and he posted a work out pic (well a short vid) in March, then no gym/workout pics until after his interview last weekend, and other than the two pics after the interview of him looking alone and serious, there are no gym or on his own pics on his insta where he is not smiling or doing a work out ( not just staring at the camera) other than ones that are a promo pic for something.

His last personal (non paid promo) pic on insta was in mid November and he posted nothing personal until the post interview pics.

No idea what his twitter or other accounts have.

At his age and in his position it was only a matter of time anyway. I wonder what his stats actually are compared to his peak. Curious how much slower he actually is.

I imagine the amount of sprints he makes are down, the amount of progressive carries, turnovers forced in the other teams final third and stuff like that.

Besides the obvious goals, assists, secondary assist types things.

His top speed in a straight sprint with no ball in training ground conditions might not have dropped off an awful lot but that does not translate to match day conditions or when on the ball.

I think where he may have lost something physically is in his acceleration. His top speed is still probably comparable to that of a few seasons ago but how much time needed to reach that top speed is where a big change may be. That would make all the difference between being able to gain a few yards on a defender and the defender being neck and neck with you from a standing start.

Have no stats or figures to back up that acceleration musing, just going by how he looks when he tries to go from a standing start or when he tries to sprint from a turn

Sky Sports said the Liverpool forward, 33, is averaging 9.7 km per 90 minutes this season up from 9.3 km covered in average last season.

His intensity slightly declined this season as he averages 14.8 sprints per game down from 15.1 sprints last season.

Would be interesting to see Gakpos.

Was just looking at Gakpo's heat map on Opta and the same for Salah.

Think it is safe to say Gakpo moves around a LOT more

Just look down the page for both to where you see Chances Created. To the right of that header you will see "More". Click on that and you get a drop sown of options, one of which is heat maps.



But overall not an awful lot between them, just a tiny bit more end product from Gakpo on the G/A front.
