Surely his performances and his output and the fact he is currently the best player in the world is a perfect example of why he should be on the top tier wage. For us to get an adequate replacement for him, they would be asking the same if not more.

If ever a guy needed mental health care then it's him, not prison ffs. £600 to some people is the difference between putting food on the table or not. Judge should've examined his financial position and the reason behind the meltdown before that sentence

Muslims won't gamble and give at least 10% of their earnings to charity (although that might only be during Ramadan), but I'm not sure where they stand in regards to greed or if this can be classed as greed. If he's giving 40k a week to charity then fair play

I'd class demands of £400k greedy, if true. There will be those that disagree, but if you're happy and your family is happy, then making demands which are difficult for the club to finance is at least a touch greedy.

Don’t forget 50% of that will be tax… ok yeah I know the wealthy pay **** all of the tax they’re supposed to… but he could be on as little as £200k per week…
