That's nonsense imo. There's only two he could go to - he surely wouldn't go to City, and I can't see him going to Newcastle so early in their 'project'.Originally posted by Rafa Justice View PostAthletic reporting today that if he doesn't make 6th best player in the world wages he wants to go to a PL club next season.
If true... absolute prick, **** him. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Recharge the batteries over the summer and he will be back to banging in goals from August onwards.
He gets a break during the WC as well next season.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yep, he gets double man marked in a lot of games, which is why Mane and Diaz have benefited. Goals have dryed up a bit, and his touch and confidence are not where they were pre Christmas but there are mitigating circumstances for all of that.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostIt’s not as dramatic as that. The CL final was our first defeat that mattered in 2022. So its not as if we've been in a massive slump.

Posh clickbait.
Yeah I reckon that break for Diaz and Salah could be massive for us.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View Post

He won't have much of a part to play at City and Newcastle will pay silly money to get a player of his quality in.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIs that him or his agent though?
Reality is City are the only club who would pay the money he wants and challenge for trophies, he could go to Newcastle but it's not that likely that they will be challenging for major honours next couple of years.
The difference between Mane and Salah is so wide. Mane is a lovely person who goes about it quietly, Salah tells us all he's a lovely man but personally I think it's a front to gain whatever it is he's after. Really disappointed in the changes in him

Guys like Konate might get a break then as well as he tends to get overlooked for the French team.
Potentially Robertson too depending on the qualifier game.
Matip will have a break then too. Actually the more I think about it, we might have a decent number of important players getting a mid season break.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yep. Kind of felt like he put in loads of effort early in the season to get his huge new contract and when the club have said this is your new offer (which is still going to be an absurd amount of money) and his knobhead agent has started playing games, he's just borderline downed tools, such is his drop in form. And it all culminated in him talking non stop about revenge in the CL and then he doesn't even turn up. He was absolutely useless on Saturday and has seemingly turned into a stroppy little **** holding the club to ransom and not being able to be dropped
If he does leave its going to be a very disappointing end of his time with us."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

He was unlucky not to have gotten a goal or two and an assist against Real.
If he played the exact same way but one or two of those led to goals we would be praising his performance.
He was the fingertips of Courtois away from being a game changer.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeah he had about four shots on target? Other than getting a goal he played well. He isn't going to score the City/Watford goal every game.
There is no way he has 'downed tools'. I also don't have an issue with his claim to be wanting revenge on Madrid.Modifying post.

He should stop trying to do it every game then.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

He ran into Madrid defenders all game long trying to dribble through them"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

To suggest that he has "downed tools" is crazy imo. If he was the type of player to do that, then Jurgen would grab him by the neck and **** him out of the training ground. As soon as Mo crosses the line, then he won't be thinking 1% about his contract - it will be 100% on the game.
I do think that the AFCON and World Cup disappointment with Egypt might have impacted him though to be honest. And the mental and physical exhaustion must be playing its part as well. And the agent and contract stand-off must not have helped either.
I know he has said that he will 100% be at LFC next season but to be honest I think if he didn't sign a new deal, then the ongoing speculation might end up impacting his form next season. Especially after the world cup.
I am kind of nonplussed about his contract to be honest though. Not because I don't think he is a brilliant player but for the following reasons:
- Our recruitment has been very very good over the last 5 years or so, so although we won't be able to replace Salah with a like-for-like, I would expect us to find a solution.
- Although Salah is amazing, we might find that other players take on responsibility to make things happen. We have seen it with Suarez, Coutinho, Torres, Gerrard........ when we have a superstar like that, then the default for a lot of the other players is to give them the ball.
- Jurgen has signed a new deal. He wouldn't have done that if he didn't agree with the clubs stance on Mo. So it is a case of "In Jurgen we trust" but for me, if he is cool with Mo staying or leaving, then that will ****in do.

If it is true we're only offering him a 15% pay increase then that is pretty poor from the club IMO. We would be undervaluing him at that.
I think leaking that he's keen to join another Premier League club is very poor form though from Salah and his agent. He needs to get a new agent sharpish IMO.
