Selling last summer for 300 million was a no-brainer for me.

300? I thought it was around 200m? Also apparantly it was more like 100m up front, and it would have been 200m or whatever, if they won the club World Cup and Salah wins a ballon dor, etc etc…
Also the offer came in about a week or two before the window closed. I reckon if they came in with the offer in June, they’d have gotten him. If we sold him, that late in the window, I don’t think we’d be finishing in the top 4…I don't tip

The alternative is to stick with someone who's completely shot and paying 350k a week for the privilege, whilst not getting the transfer fee to replace him. Should have got rid the summer he signed the extension.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostIt's all well and good saying to cash in but who would we replace him with?? Its easy to spunk 70m on someone ****e and then you are stuck with him...

The Athletic reported an offer of €235m, so you’re right, not 300m, but maybe we could have squeezed out some more. But even at that, you’re got to. Even spending 100 of it on a replacement, the change would still likely dwarf a year of CL revenues. And we would have had to replace him shortly anyway.Originally posted by Mr Pink View Post300? Yaaa like I think if it had come in earlier it would have gotten done. The offer was at the 11th hour, and I reckon at that stage if we were to sell him, we’d have to be willing to wait til January to replace him.I don't tip

Missed opportunity because of emotion, don't know of we will get that back. Fergie Scum would have driven him to the airport.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostThe Athletic reported an offer of €235m, so you’re right, not 300m, but maybe we could have squeezed out some more.
