VAR would have killed the whole experience tonight. It's why it should never be bought in. The atmosphere can't exist when the game keeps stopping. You have to take the bad calls for moments like tonight when they go in your favour.

The officiating in the whole was superb tonight. Maybe they didn't get every call 100% right, they let the players play and the game flow. So much better than stopping it every 2 seconds for little niggles. Most times the players can work that out on their own.

That’s what happens when our games are officiated properly, we’d be a couple of points behind them at worst if it was the same in the league. 120mins to score a goal now and if we do it’s done and they have shown zero signs they know how to handle us for years now. Their only hope is an early red for us again. Semi line up will be utter madness, European royalty.

Milner was a god, didn’t think he had that in him now! TAA will have his ups and downs but he most definitely has it. And for the first time in what, a decade? Lionel Messi isnt the best player on the planet. Wish we’d get a bit cuter with stuff tho, leaving ourselves short in the transfer market was silly, not getting Hendo a booking at 3, 4, 5 up v Porto was insane!

Full reserve team on the weekend, couldn’t give a **** about that game or them, we have bigger fish to fry and can afford a defeat. Only need to beat 4 **** teams and that’s if Chelsea win all 7 which isn’t going to happen. Looks like we’ll get in by winning the CL anyway so who’s arsed.
