Brilliant game, brilliant team performance - but I do wish that we would stop sitting deep and carry on playing for longer - Exposed all City's weaknesses at the back, too late this season but lets hope other teams take it to them next season, everyone gives them too much respect.

Your best post ever.Originally posted by Chris View PostSuppose that was alright! That’s what happens when our games are officiated properly, we’d be a couple of points behind them at worst if it was the same in the league. 120mins to score a goal now and if we do it’s done and they have shown zero signs they know how to handle us for years now. Their only hope is an early red for us again. Semi line up will be utter madness, European royalty.
Milner was a god, didn’t think he had that in him now! TAA will have his ups and downs but he most definitely has it. And for the first time in what, a decade? Lionel Messi isnt the best player on the planet. Wish we’d get a bit cuter with stuff tho, leaving ourselves short in the transfer market was silly, not getting Hendo a booking at 3, 4, 5 up v Porto was insane!
Full reserve team on the weekend, couldn’t give a **** about that game or them, we have bigger fish to fry and can afford a defeat. Only need to beat 4 **** teams and that’s if Chelsea win all 7 which isn’t going to happen. Looks like we’ll get in by winning the CL anyway so who’s arsed.
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

We lost our way going forward when Mo went off. And we looked leggy after the first half. If we’d kept on going at them we might have left ourselves exposed. All I’d say is we could have looked after the ball slightly better up front second half. Defensively we were spot on.Originally posted by Snigger View PostBrilliant game, brilliant team performance - but I do wish that we would stop sitting deep and carry on playing for longer - Exposed all City's weaknesses at the back, too late this season but lets hope other teams take it to them next season, everyone gives them too much respect.
We had to put Solanke on in the CL 1/4 final FFS
Imagine what the score would have been if we had a decent bench..?Modifying post.

some stats from the beeb :
Liverpool are unbeaten at home in European competition since October 2014 (0-3 vs Real Madrid) and have extended their run without defeat to 15 European games at Anfield (W10 D5).
Manchester City failed to direct a single shot on target in a game for the first time since 26 October 2016 (v Man Utd in the League Cup).
Pep Guardiola has enjoyed just one win in his past six meetings with Jurgen Klopp in all competitions (D2 L3), with Klopp registering more wins against the Spaniard than any other manager (6).
Liverpool are the top-scoring side in the Champions League this season with 31 goals. Indeed, that 31-goal haul is the Reds' biggest tally ever in a single campaign in the competition.
18% of the goals Manchester City have conceded this season in all competitions have been scored by Liverpool (7/38).
Mohamed Salah has been directly involved in nine goals in his nine Champions League appearances this season (7 goals, 2 assists).
Overall, Salah has bagged 38 goals in all competitions this season; of players in Europe's big five leagues, only Cristiano Ronaldo can better that tally (39).
James Milner has registered seven assists in the Champions League this season, three more than any other player.

What a wonderful night, just a shame the bus was done in.
Bad that is and embarassing from some of the fans.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
