Altho it must be mitigated by the fact that Klopp said it was how they reacted after training that was more important, so I guess we'd be better waiting and seeing.

Played three at the back vs Palace for the last twenty with Trent and Robertson pushed further up the pitch.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHonestly can you recall a time when we've played anything other than our normal game in any game under Klopp? I can't. Although in fairness we've not played many two legged European games. I think we'll play our normal game.

Well I meant from the outset really. We've adapted during the games and tried to close games out at times, but I don't ever remember setting up from kick off any other way.Originally posted by labourRed View PostPlayed three at the back vs Palace for the last twenty with Trent and Robertson pushed further up the pitch. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think we should be a bit snide tbh, kick the ****ers and really slow the game down then have them on the break.Originally posted by fah-q View PostI think the key to this is calm heads, lose ours and it could go tits up.
Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI'm nervous as hell already, I know people are saying we have a 3-0 lead etc. The problem is they are capable of scoring 4 or 5 and we are capable of conceding 4 or 5. It would be rather embarrassing if we were to go out having won the first leg 3-0 but it is still possible. You only have to look at the league game to see one refereeing decision can or one crazy moment from one of our guys can make the difference, and while it would be bad to lose to anyone in these circumstances, losing to another English club would make it worse. There is so much on the line it is difficult not to be nervous.
They are an excellent team and are fully capable of putting 4 or 5 past us and likewise us letting them in but I do think we will get at least 1 and the pressure will all be on them.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I read somewhere that City have the highest ratio of short passes to long passes in the prem - something like 15 to 1. So in that context he is probably right. But yeah it is a bit odd as not all long balls are created equal.Originally posted by BigChief View PostI've been thinking about that all day. It's clearly mind games but it's so daft I'm wondering what his angle is.

Not really, it's like Lola Ferrari telling Pamela Anderson she's flat.Originally posted by RedAndWhite View PostI read somewhere that City have the highest ratio of short passes to long passes in the prem - something like 15 to 1. So in that context he is probably right.
Just had a look. Burnley are most likely to hit long balls at 22%, here's the top 6 stats:
Man Utd 12%
Spurs 11%
Chelsea 10%
Liverpool FC 10%
Arsenal 8%
Man City 6%Like blood on iron

To my mind there is a big difference between a long ball side and a long pass side. To me long ball implies hit up into the air for the big man to fight for and try to win knock downs. A long passing side is more cultured picking out players in space or looking to get behind a defence, we certainly do the latter and I don't see a problem with that. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
