Rob Jones used to suffer with these. Wasn't it Robbie Fowler too?

I thought it was his Knee that runied his career? He did have shin splints when he 1st came to Liverpool but then had a couple of other injuries and it was his knee that finished him off.Originally posted by S-RED View PostRob Jones career was ruined by them_____________________________________

I have always had painful shins. I get it when my calves are tight. Apparently thats where I store tension or some crap like that. When its at its worst I can find it difficult to walk. Not because of the pain, but my ankles just freeze up. Never bothered to get it diagnosed as an ankle infection put paid to my ability to run. Not sure if this is anything like that.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Yeah, I used to get very tight there during my runs, sometimes had to stop, but not shin splints though, as mine got better after I started prepping with quality magnesium, did wonders really. Used to think it was shin splints when I was younger as the symptoms seemed similar.Originally posted by Charly View PostI have always had painful shins. I get it when my calves are tight. Ya get more magnesium by eating Dark chocolate, nuts & bananas in one day than a tablet...cheaper too!Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostBoth Magnesium sprays and powder which was game changer for tbh.
Can't recommend it enough really, take it daily and a little extra and hour or two before running, I find it helps with cramping, tightness and such.Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Think the main worry with regards to him is not ability or potential, but rather the missing of time during the stage of his career when he should be honing that abilility in order to realise his potential.
He was unavailable for selection for 14 games last season, five already this season (as well as missing a bit of pre season and some training time in August) and if any of the injury talk is correct it could be the new year at best before he is available again.
He seems to be very unlucky with the timing of his injuries. He seems to get them at the times when a number of senior guys are also out so he misses chances to get extra minutes.
I think there is a smashing player in him. But he needs to get some long unbroken runs without injuries to take advantage of gaps in the squad.
With Thiago currently fit and Arthur in the training sessions, I wish Jones was fit at present as I think his skillset would benefit greatly from being around those two imo.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

That makes him available for almost 80% of last season, which is strong. Yet he only played around 25%. The season before he only missed one or two games through injury.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostThink the main worry with regards to him is not ability or potential, but rather the missing of time during the stage of his career when he should be honing that abilility in order to realise his potential.

Whatever's been keeping him out of the team the past 2 seasons, I don't think it's been injuries or lack of availability..

He's got the mobility and strength to be a decent midfielder, but he seems to run then come to a stop with the ball before making a decision on where to pass.
This means the player he's passing to is often being closed down and then struggles to control so we end up losing possession because of his slow thinking and lack of peripheral vision.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

In a klopp midfield all our midfielders will pick up injuries. He’s also still young so maybe there’s some growing pains just like there were with Gerrard at a similar age who used to have back and groin issues I think.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostThink the main worry with regards to him is not ability or potential, but rather the missing of time during the stage of his career when he should be honing that abilility in order to realise his potential.

He’s mobile and got good technical ability. His decision making needs to sharpen up but he’s 21. If he’s still making the same mistakes at 27 then that’s different.
In jones, Elliot and Bajetic we’ve got three very good young players although I’m still not sure midfield is Harvey’s best position.Last edited by el matador; 24-09-22, 05:04 PM.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
