I meant those people saying we only offered him a new contract so we could sell him. That doesn't make sense, it's ludicrous actually.

Edit: Reading back I can see why it's pretty misleading without quotes.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Stay off Twitter then. Signing a new contract has basically elevated him to Trump or Putin levels. Makes you proud to be an LFC supporter.

I would never go to twitter for opinions. It's an absolute cesspit, chock a block with mindless cunts.

Sometimes certain ones get retweeted and you can't help but take a nosey. People are unhinged.

Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Im not convinced he suits Klopp's style of midfielder, but he is still very young. I would like to see him go on loan and get some games under his belt, as he is unlikely to get games unless there are injuries.

I hate it when we bin off our younger players too early. Still think we should have kept Neco Williams, if not to just give TAA a break. Fair enough if you are overloaded, but TAA has been our only senior RB for years.

It seems every time we do have a midfield crises and there is an opportunity for Jones, he picks up a random injury himself. He's been quite unfortunate.

Yeah... I remember Stevie G was quite injury prone as a youngster. Hopefully when he stops growing he will be less prone (Curtis...)

Not as much as gets said.

Between the ages of 19 and 30 he only played in less that 30 league games in a season twice and those two seasons he played 28 and 29 league games.

To take his game numbers for all comps. Between the ages of 20 and 30 he played between 43 and 54 games each season.

Not that whatever Gerrard did or did not do at any age has any bearing on what Jones will or will not do.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Ha, I didn't pick up on it if so. I was just thinking you wanted me to break down the numbers and prove that it would be cheaper to sell him now on a lower wage than give him a new contract and possibly sell him for a higher fee.

I imagine his previous contract was absolute dog**** to be honest?

Not just looking at last night's game but I have always said he runs with the ball, then stops, it kills our speed and ability for a fast break. It's almost as if he is realishing being on the ball and on camera!

This means the player he's passing to is often being closed down and then struggles to control so we end up losing possession because of his slow thinking and lack of peripheral vision.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

It's not happening IMO, one reason at least is th HG quota. at present we only have 7 HG players who need to be registered in the main squad (Kelleher, Gomez, TAA, Phillips, Milner, Henderson, Ox) Probably 3 maybe 4 of those are leaving in the summer, Elliott and Carvalho don't need to be registered next year, but Jones does. If Jones leaves we could find ourselves with just 3 HG players from the squad we have, plus anyone we sign in summer, as are unlikely to sign 5 HG players we are likely in the situation where we either keep him or have an empty space in the squad. I think the only way he leaves is if he wants out or we get an offer that is way over what we value him at.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
