Pep's "masterplan" has had the desired effect.

would be a real kick in the nuts that.

So ****ing sick of these early kicks offs after international breaks and then to top it off our keeper has to play 3 games in quick succession with 2 long haul flights thrown in the mix because their keeper conveniently has an 'issue' but is fine to take his place in our game. ****ing stinks.

Surprised Klopp hasn't said something about it tbh. So tired of the club just laying down for these ****s to walk all over us.

Seen the 5 week thing myself, but don't think it's substantiated.

Couldn't happen at a worse time, but I'd probably take it. We know he's definitely injured by his reaction, as it's pretty certain it's his hamstring, so my fear was/is it could be much worse.

5 weeks brings us to January break, so I'm guessing that's where that estimate came from as essentially that gives him over 7 weeks to recover.

He is decent with his feet, but not at Ederson levels (though Ederson typically receives the ball with tons of time).

Wonder how bad the tweak is?

For decent precedent though last time he tweaked his hammy we won the League

They are almost neck and neck this season with their passing. These are PL starts only.

Ederson is slightly ahead with a pass completion rate of 84.8% with Alisson on 84.1%

Alisson's worst season for us was his first season when he finished with a pass completion rate of 83.3% for the entire season.

The stats also show that Alisson receives almost 33% more "under pressure" passes (passes played to him with an opposition player less than 15 yards away when the pass is played) which backs up your comment about him having less time on the ball.

Our defenders really need to stop putting him under so much pressure all the time. It's fine going back to him once or twice in the play, but when they start really pressing and they give it to him with an attacker right on him it just leads to a panicked clearance.

A "bad" Alisson performance is still a 7/10 by any other keeper's standards imo.

100% and barely mentioned, plus the save from Haaland in the move the preceded our goal

This, you could see our South Americans were off, Martinelli was off for Arsenal too, Caicedo as well and more. Crazy scheduling and I'm beginning to agree with those who are lobbying for an international month, just get it out of the way.

obviously unhelpful but he's been injured a few times for us from his kicking

I also think he's lost his confidence with his feet since those injuries, he was way better with his feet when he joined, but he's actual keeping has improved.
