I’m in the north of Poland and no chance to see this either. Been a while since I missed a game but will be checking here and Twitter!

Confident but West Ham have bought well and have a good manager now, I don’t think it will be a walk in the park. If we are at it we will though.

I'm a bit nervous, we have to win this to get off to a good start, Spurs, United and Chelsea all won their games and City are likely to as well, so we can't start with anything less than a win. But this is a tricky game, they have bought well and have a good manager in.
          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Yeah, it'd just be like us to have a slow start after such a good window. We tend to have a fall soon after a period of optimism but at least its a home start and the forward line are all fit. I am concerned about the defence though.

A strong start would be amazing and something to build on. You never know until the season starts though.

I think home to West Ham is the perfect opener for us. Their style will suit us and should be a bit disjointed with all the new arrivals.

If West Ham are on their game, I can see Arnie scoring, but even if they are I expect us to put at Ieast 4 past them again.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Not sure what to expect from West Ham at all. Pellegrini is a terrific attacking coach, with very specific patterns of attacking play i.e. regular overlaps out wide, and with the players at his disposal, they could be pretty good. Being away from home for them could avoid unnecessary pressure from their own supporters.

Lunchtime KOs suck if you have a family.

They haven't had a great preseason tbf although Yarmolenko (sp?) has apparently impressed.

Probably wrong but this is floating about online as the starting XI

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Milner, Keita, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

That looks good to me. Big opportunity for Gomez now, hope he steps up.

The main questions were Clyne or TAA & if Milner was right to play.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

                              Strong bench

Our bench: Karius, Clyne, Fabinho, Henderson, Sturridge, Lallana, Shaqiri

A lack of centre-back aside, that's pretty filthy.
